PV EXPO 2012 Highlights VI: New Energy Solutions Brought to Light

       

 

Aside from PV EXPO 2012, six other expos were being held at Tokyo Big Sight at the same time. In fact, PV EXPO was only a part of World Smart Energy Week 2012. Covering the up, mid and downstream of solar industry, all the expos are closely related to one another. These different applications may further integrate in the future and turn into a new energy solution.

PV EXPO 2012 Highlights IV: Household Solar Solution Became Mainstream

       

At PV EXPO 2012, most participating companies showcased their high efficiency solar cells and modules, targeting at the household solar roof market in Japan. Japanese solar market is very unique compared to those of most countries – household system takes up 80% of the market share in Japan while it is the other way around in other countries. Japan’s unique solar market mainly attributes to the government’s subsidy policies.

The participating companies at PV EXPO 2012 - 5th Int'l Photovoltaic Power Generation Expo were from not only Japan but also Taiwan, China and South Korea. Companies with a larger scale had their own exhibition space, but PV EXPO also set up pavilions for emerging and smaller companies, including Taiwan, China, and Korea Pavilions, providing the attendees with an easier access to all the exhibits.

PV EXPO 2012 - 5th Int'l Photovoltaic Power Generation Expo, the biggest PV exhibition in Japan, is where PV companies from Japan as well as around the world convene. At the expo, the exhibits not only cater to the preferences of the Japanese market, but also present the crucial R&D breakthroughs and the future trends, thanks to the variety of participating companies. In addition, there are pavilions specifically for PV system and solar cell, which provides the attendees with a comprehensive view covering up, mid and downstream of the solar industry.

PV Taiwan 2011: The Largest Solar Exhibition in Taiwan Concluded with Grand Success

       

PV Taiwan 2011 Taiwan International Photovoltaic Forum & Exhibition was held at  Taipei World Trade Center from October 5th to 7th. According to EnergyTrend, the numbers of participating companies hit a record high of 286 (806 booths) with a 29% growth. Major solar companies such as Motech, Gintech, and Neo Solar Power and polysilicon suppliers GCL and OCI gathered together and showcased their latest R&D achievements, introducing the participants to the unlimited prospects of the solar industry.

PV Taiwan 2011 - A Solar Showcase

       

Taiwan is the second-biggest solar cell manufacturer in the world. Therefore, it is only fitting that Taiwan host one of the most important solar energy industry events. PV Taiwan 2011, organized jointly by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), was a two-day event showcasing the very best of what solar energy entities (both Taiwanese and international) had to offer to this fast-growing industry sector.
