ACCIONA Puts a New Wind Park into Service in Spain

       

With a capacity of 16 megawatts, 'El Chaparro' will produce electricity equivalent to the consumption of around 12,000 homes. The new wind park, located in Guadalajara province (central Spain), takes the wind power capacity owned by the company in the region of Castilla-La Mancha to 560 MW.

Nordex Awarded Contract for 30 MW Wind Farm in Spain

       

Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been awarded a contract for the assembly and installation of the “Barbers” 30 MW wind farm, comprising twelve N90/2500 wind turbine systems. The contract is based on a framework agreement entered into with power station operator Eolia Renovables, which originally provided for a capacity of 150 megawatts. The co-investor is the Elecnor Group, whose core business entails infrastructure projects including the construction and operation of wind farms.

Gamesa Agrees to Sell Two Wind Farms in Spain to Gas Natural

       

Gamesa has reached an agrement with Gas Natural to sell two wind farms in Lugo and Tarragona, with combined capacity totalling 42 MW. 

The Alto do Seixal (30 MW) wind farm near Lugo -which has been sold today- consists of six Gamesa G80-2.0 MW turbines and nine G87-2.0 MW turbines. The wind farm is in operation.

Vestas has Received an Order for 26 Units of the V90-2.0 MW Turbine for Spain

       

Vestas has received an order for delivery of a total capacity of 52 MW for the El Gallo wind power plant to be installed in Burgos, in the north of Spain. The order consists of a turnkey project including civil and electrical works, supply, installation and commissioning of 26 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine with a 105-metre hub height.

Canadian Solar and Siemens Announce Sales Agreement for Solar Systems at the University of Murcia, Spain

       

Canadian Solar Inc. (the "Company", "we" or "Canadian Solar") (NASDAQ: CSIQ), one of the world's largest solar companies, announced it has entered into a sales contract with Siemens. Under the agreement, Canadian Solar supplied 2.5 MW of solar modules for two solar projects -- a rooftop system and a carport -- constructed by Siemens for the University of Murcia, Spain. For both projects, Siemens used Canadian Solar's MaxPower CS6X modules, the company's utility-scale module series.

Canadian Solar Supplies Solar Modules for 9 MW Project in Spain

       

Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ), one of the world's largest solar companies, announced that the company has supplied solar modules for a 9 MW solar power plant by OPDE Group in Spain. The solar system is scheduled for commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2011. With this project, Canadian Solar continues to extend its presence in Southern Europe.

Vestas has Received an Order for Delivery of 22 Units of the V90-2.0/1.8 MW Turbine for Burgos, Spain

       

Vestas has received an order for delivery of a total capacity of 42 MW for the Zarzuela wind project to be installed in Burgos, in the north of Spain.

The order consists of a turnkey project including civil and electrical works, supply, installation and commissioning of 22 units of the V90-2.0/1.8 MW turbine with a 105-metre hub height.

The prototype of the G128-4.5 MW wind turbine Gamesa erected in April 2009 at an R&D wind farm in Jaulín (Zaragoza) yesterday achieved a new record for energy output by a single turbine in Spain.
