Hanwha Q CELLS has put the 8.1MW “Tower Hill” solar farm into operation in the Southwest of England. With the new addition to its portfolio, Hanwha Q CELLS now owns and operates 53MW of solar PV plants in UK.

The Tower Hill solar farm is owned by Hanwha Q CELLS. The company provided EPC services and will be responsible for the O&M service as well. The construction started in January 2015 and was fully completed in only eight weeks. The solar farm connected to the grid and started operation in March 2015, on time to operate under the 1.4 ROC scheme.

The 8.1MW Tower Hill solar park is comprised of around 30,650 of Q CELLS' high quality Q.PRO-G3 PV modules with power classes of 265W. The park has been built in Hanwha Q CELLS’ modular construction scheme, which enables faster construction and grid connection and thus earlier returns on investment. The park is expected to produce around 8 MWh of clean energy per year, enough to power more than 2.400 average households in England. Thus the park will save approximately 4.100 tons of carbon dioxide per year.

Mauro Di Fiore, Vice President Global EPC / Utility at Hanwha Q CELLS said: "This latest park is another evidence of that Hanwha Q CELLS is a favorable partner for reliable power plant solutions in UK."
