Phono Solar, a China-based renewable energy manufacturer, has qualified its 260W and 310W polycrystalline PV modules for Brazil's National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) certification, and been rating in Class-A. With the qualifications, it will be more possible for Phono solar to expand their services into Brazilian and South American energy markets.

“Brazil is the bridge to Phono Solar’s “BRICs strategy,’ stated YUAN Quan, the manager of Phono Solar marketing department. The company aims to expand the South American market by delivering all-encompassing energy solutions for supply, saving, storage and energy management to South America.

Brazil is one of the world’s most potential countries for developing renewable energy. It is estimated that more than 45% of the power consumption could be offered by renewable energy resources in the South American country. To develop solar PV power, the Brazilian government is looking to implement two new policies to stimulate the demand of solar PV power in the near future, and drive the rapid development of the South American PV market. The country projects to have totaling 7GW of solar PV projects nationwide by 2024.

About INMETRO

INMETRO certification is an accreditation for PV modules efficiency with the rating being shown from A (the highest) to E (the lowest). INMETRO certification is also the permit for PV products exported to Brazil and PV products must be labeled with the "INMETRO mark."
