As it enters into the peak season, solar projects are gradually constructed or announced around the world. EnergyTrend finds that the strong global demand is very likely to last over, at least, the first quarter of 2016.
Global demand to multi-si PV products is generally stronger than to mono-si products, and this excludes mono-si product manufacturers from the recent PV growth. Yet EnergyTrend projects a warm-up in the mono-si sector as it will become more acceptable to large-scale PV plants next year. Higher efficiency and lowered costs would be the key for mono-si products’ market share to boost.
In China, the world’s largest solar market, approximately 9.9GW of solar were added from January to September 2015. The cumulative solar installation nationwide hits 37.95GW by the end of September. However, the solar electricity abandonment remains a serious problem for the Beijing government to deal with.
