The Background
China's energy storage industry has just boomed, at the end of 2015, China's cumulative installed capacity was 105.5MW, accounting for 11% of the total installed capacity of the global energy storage projects which mainly are lithium-ion batteries, lead-acid batteries and flow batteries, and lithium-ion battery installed capacity accounted for the largest proportion. By the end of 2015, the distribution of applications from the point of view, mainly distributed generation and micro-grid and renewable energy and the field of the main grid, both cumulative installed capacity of more than 80% of the Chinese market. Distributed power generation and micro-network field in the past two years has been in terms of total installed capacity or number of projects are occupied the first position, accounting for 56% and 77%, which is the most promising to take the lead in achieving large-scale commercial applications field.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that by the year of 2050, the United States, Europe, China and India will add 310GW of energy storage capacity, that need to invest 380 billion US dollars. McKinsey will be stored energy as a subversive role in 2025, the economy has a significant impact on the technology, the market value of the forecast will reach 100 billion to 600 billion US dollars.
