Siliken is already manufacturing its new 72-cell SLK72M6L monocrystalline and SLK72P6L polycrystalline modules. Siliken has carried out another step forward in terms of research and development with these 280Wp modules. Efficiency is up to 15.7% for the polycrystallines and up to 16% for the monocrystallines. This high quality and reliability of the modules guarantees a quick return on the investment in any photovoltaic installation, either residential, industrial or on a solar farm.
The 72-cell modules permit fewer items to be installed for getting the same MW, optimizing in operative costs due to less surface needed, fewer pieces handled and at the end a faster installation process. Choosing the SLK72M6L or the SLK72P6L means installing 20% fewer modules to achieve the same output power, where the key issue is having that reduced items configuration, for the same power. Really an optimum solution.
These modules are already available in Europe and will go on sale at the United States in early September. They will be showed and revealed in public at the Siliken booth in Hall B3, Stand 240- at the Intersolar Exhibition in Munich from 8 to 10 June. Visitors will have the opportunity of knowing on firsthand their High-Quality specifications.
The modules will be manufactured at Siliken's facilities in Tijuana (Mexico) and Valencia (Spain). The Tijuana plant will have a production capacity of almost 6 MW per year while Valencia will be able to produce around 70 MW. Siliken 72-cell modules currently achieve a maximum power of 305Wp for the polycrystallines and 310Wp for the monocrystallines with a tolerance range of +3/0%. They also hold UL, TÜV and Intertek certificates, for applications all over the world. They are respectful with carbon emissions and offer exceptional behavior in low light conditions.
According to Siliken Energy General Manager, Francisco Soriano, "The 72-cell module was born from the necessities of our customers, in line with our company's strategy to offer maximum efficiency for their applications. These new modules permit to optimize the installation ensuring the same energy amount of power with fewer modules, representing a cost saving ".
Siliken subjects each module to tests, including rigorous checks on power production and resistance tests in radiation simulators, to guarantee its quality. The SLK72M6L and SLK72P6L modules both come out with a 25-year linear output warranty and a 10-year product guarantee. Customers can check the performance of their modules every year and ask for a replacement if they do not meet the minimum requirements. From the second year through to the 25th year the performance of the module is guaranteed with a degradation level of less than or equal to 0.7% per year.
Number One Modules
Siliken modules have obtained the Number One hallmark from the prestigious study carried out by Laboratorio Photon. Between January and December 2010, Siliken modules were ranked by Photon as the modules showing the best results for energy production when compared with the more than 47 modules of 36 manufacturers. The Siliken module generates 5.9% more power than the average value of all the modules studied and 4% more than the minimum value recorded.
