The National Assembly has unanimously approved four solar projects with the combined installed capacity of 140 MW. All projects will be developed on a Build-Own-Operation basis, which are estimated to be finished by the end of 2020.

The solar power generated from these projects will be sold to Electricity of Cambodia (EDC) at a rate of US$0.076 per kWh, according to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has issued a notice on adjustment plans for the 2020 provisional import tax rates and other adjustments on December 18. Starting from January 1, 2020, the import tariffs on products involved in solar and wind power generation will be reduced.
More details regarding Ireland’s first Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) auction under the Climate Action Plan has been released, which included the key information about compliance and processes. There will be three separate auction categories: Community, Solar and All, which are listed in the order of their priority. For the solar category, there is no minimum auction result. However, the largest project that was contracted at the first auction was 300 GWh (which is equivalent to approximately 300MW)

The so-called UK’s largest solar power station with battery storage has been completed by GRIDSERVE, a sustainable energy business which designs and delivers turnkey system of hybrid solar power.
Located at York, the 34.7MW large-scale solar project is also equipped with 27.5MW/ 30.14MWh energy storage facility.
The completion of this project also signifies the increase of zero-subsidy renewable energy on the national level.
