Yingli Solar has commenced operations for phase I of its 5 GW solar module manufacturing project in Tianjin, Hebei province. The production line is equipped to roll out PERC single glass, and double glass modules, along with all-black panels for the distributed generation market.
Modules produced here will have a power output of 400W to 600W with module efficiency exceeding 21%, the Chinese company announced.
Yingli Solar aims to grow its module manufacturing capacity to a total of 15 GW by 2023.
