Tesla has made it free for people to use all of the Superchargers within Ukraine since the outbreak of the war in order to help citizens take refuge in nearby countries. The country announced today that all Superchargers in Poland and Slovakia will also be free to use.
The chain reaction triggered by the war with Russia has resulted in surging oil prices, and gas has become an essential strategic material at the frontline of the war, which makes it almost impossible to acquire among citizens. EVs might just come in handy during a situation like this.
Tesla had announced free services for all Superchargers within Ukraine since the official invasion from Russia in the hopes of lending a helping hand to local car owners. Four Superchargers at the borders of Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary are also now free to use.
Countless Ukrainian citizens have fled to nearby countries after two weeks of ceaseless warfare, which prompted Tesla to announce today that all Superchargers within Poland and Slovakia that are comparatively affected by the war would be free to use.
“We hope that this helps give you the peace of mind to get to a safe location,” said Tesla’s announcement.
Tesla had officially allowed access for EVs of other brands to utilize its Superchargers this year thanks to the EU’s comprehensive EV policy, thus car owners are able to fully charge up and take refuge in other places, even if they do not own a Tesla.
