Lixin Energy has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Kuqa City Lixin Integrated Energy Co., Ltd., plans to invest RMB 529 million to construct a 200 MW / 800 MWh grid-forming standalone energy storage project in Kuqa City. According to the announcement, the total estimated investment is approximately RMB 529 million, with a construction period of 12 months. The funding will come from the company’s own capital and bank loans.
The project aligns with the company’s strategic development goals and is expected to promote its exploration and implementation of large-scale energy storage systems, thereby having a positive impact on the company’s long-term growth and profitability.
Previously, on June 3, the company approved investment proposals for three other standalone energy storage projects:
1、A 100 MW / 400 MWh project in Hotan City, with an estimated investment of approximately RMB 258 million.
2、A 200 MW / 800 MWh project in Minfeng County, with an estimated investment of approximately RMB 515 million.
3、Phase II of a 200 MW / 800 MWh project in Pishan County, with an estimated investment of approximately RMB 477 million.
Including the new project in Kuqa City, the company has committed to a total investment of approximately RMB 1.779 billion in standalone energy storage projects within the past 12 months.
Lixin Energy stated that these investments align with its strategic development plans under the new market environment, support the company's ongoing efforts in large-scale energy storage, and contribute to the implementation of China’s dual-carbon ("carbon peaking and carbon neutrality") policy in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. These projects are expected to serve as demonstrations for independent energy storage initiatives and to promote the development of the energy storage industry chain.
While the projects are not expected to have a significant impact on the company’s short-term profits, they are anticipated to benefit the company’s long-term development and overall performance.
