According to China Electric Power Fourth Engineering Co., Ltd., on August 11, the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of Anhui Xingchuan New Energy’s high-power battery project was held in the High-Tech Development Zone of Hefei, Anhui Province.
The second phase has a total investment of approximately RMB 980 million, covers an area of about 61 mu, and has a planned construction area of around 59,000 square meters. It is invested and built by Anhui Xingchuan New Energy Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (“Anhui Xingchuan”), focusing on the R&D and production of high-power lithium-ion batteries with fully independent intellectual property rights.
Notably, the first phase of the Anhui Xingchuan high-power battery project has recently been completed and put into operation. With a total investment of RMB 2 billion and an area of 101 mu, its first 135C product has completed two rounds of trial production and is expected to achieve its first batch of mass deliveries within this year. Once the project reaches full capacity, it will be capable of generating an annual output value of RMB 1.6 billion.
