On August 15th, GCL Energy Storage announced the signing of a project, which is the second phase of the Wuhu industrial and commercial distributed electrochemical energy storage power station.
The project is located east of Wuxuan Avenue in Xinwu Development Zone, Wuhu City, Anhui Province. It has a planned installed capacity of 75MW/150MWh, consisting of 30 sets of 2.5MW/5MWh energy storage sub-units and an intelligent centralized control platform. Each sub-unit includes a 2.5MW high-robustness converter-booster integrated machine and a 5MWh intelligent liquid-cooled DC cabin. The centralized control platform realizes real-time supply and demand data sampling through the nested operation of the equipment layer, process layer, and station control layer, with supporting intelligent algorithm logic control. It can fulfill multiple industrial and commercial scenario functions such as peak shaving and valley filling, emergency backup power, and dynamic capacity expansion. Moreover, the system level has pre-constructed and reserved a foundation for supporting virtual power plants, thus achieving significant economic and environmental benefits.
