According to the news on August 25, ConfirmWare and India's Sunkind Energy formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The two parties will join hands to jointly build a 4GW solar module manufacturing capacity in India.
As per the cooperation plan, Sunkind Energy will introduce ConfirmWare's string welding equipment and full-process automated solutions to build a high-precision, technologically advanced solar module production line, laying a solid foundation for its rapid entry into the high-end module manufacturing track.
The first core product of this cooperation is the 610Wp high-efficiency TOPCon module based on M10 cells. Targeting industrial photovoltaic (PV) and large-scale ground-mounted PV power plant scenarios, this module leverages the advantages of the large size of M10 cells and the high conversion efficiency of TOPCon technology, which can meet the demand for high-power and high-reliability modules in large-scale renewable energy projects.
Sunkind Energy stated that it hopes to integrate three core resources—mature and high-quality production processes, cutting-edge equipment technology in the industry, and top-tier talents in the field—through cooperation with ConfirmWare. Its ultimate goal is to create solar module products that can provide stable clean energy support for India's industrial growth in the long run. This cooperation not only represents the expansion of production capacity scale but, more importantly, injects precise manufacturing capabilities and technology implementation advantages into the company's business development.
In terms of the project progress rhythm, the 4GW module production capacity will adopt a "phased construction" approach, with the overall cycle planned to be completed within the next 24 months. The production bases will implement a "multi-regional layout" strategy, with decentralized locations across multiple regions in India. This move is mainly based on three considerations: first, to realize localized production and reduce the transportation costs of raw materials and finished products; second, to improve the response speed to regional markets and better adapt to the PV project needs of different states; third, to build a decentralized logistics system and reduce the risks caused by centralized supply chains. At the same time, during the initial design phase of each production base, full consideration has been given to the optimization of supply chain efficiency and the flexibility of future production capacity expansion, reserving space for long-term development.
