On September 19, Innengji Sodium Battery (Jiangsu) Technology Co., Ltd. and the Administrative Committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) held a signing ceremony. The project, which covers a 1GWh sodium-ion battery and system integration production line as well as a system integration R&D center, was officially settled in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. After the project is fully put into production, its average annual output value will reach 677 million yuan in the first five years, and it will drive the employment of nearly 300 people.
The total investment of this signed project is 500 million yuan. It is located in TEDA Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Tianjin, and is scheduled to start project transformation in October this year. The project will involve the construction of a new 1GWh annual output sodium-ion battery production line, a system integration production line and an R&D center. After completion, relying on the functional platform of TEDA Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the project will carry out various innovative business formats such as bonded R&D, bonded testing and bonded exhibition, and build a high-tech, high-efficiency and high-output manufacturing enterprise integrating R&D, production, exhibition, sales and warehousing. After the project is fully put into production, the output value is expected to reach 468 million yuan in the first year, with an average annual output value of 677 million yuan in the first five years; the tax payment will be 32.5481 million yuan in the first year, with an average annual tax payment of 46.9177 million yuan in the first five years.
Sodium-ion battery, the product of this project, is a new type of secondary battery with a wide range of applications and broad prospects in the domestic and foreign energy storage markets. It has the advantages of high safety, abundant raw material resources, low production cost, long cycle life, excellent rate performance, good low-temperature performance and high temperature resistance.
