Recently, LONGi has achieved significant progress in the global photovoltaic market. On one hand, the company signed a framework agreement to supply high-efficiency BC modules to Chiron Energy in Italy. On the other hand, it successfully won the bid for the Huadian Laoting Project in Hebei and was successfully shortlisted as a PV module supplier for CECEP Solar Energy. These achievements continuously accelerate the capacity and market deployment of LONGi's BC modules.
Partnership with Chiron Energy to Supply High-Efficiency BC Modules
On November 11, LONGi announced the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with Chiron Energy, a leading independent renewable energy producer in Italy. Under this agreement, LONGi will supply its high-efficiency BC module, Hi-MO 9, to Chiron Energy from 2026 to 2027 for the construction of large-scale ground-mounted projects in the region.
The power plants covered by this framework agreement are located throughout Italy, primarily concentrating in the northern and central regions. The projects include both new installations and repowering/efficiency-enhancement initiatives.
Winning Bid for Huadian Laoting Project and Shortlisting by CECEP Solar
Concurrently, LONGi has been receiving frequent good news in the domestic market.
On November 11, the public announcement of the bid evaluation results for the PV module equipment procurement batch of the Hebei Huadian Laoting 300MW Photovoltaic Base Project was released. The project was divided into two lots, and LONGi was the successful bidder for Lot B.
Lot B involves the procurement of N-type BC bifacial dual-glass high-efficiency PV modules, with a maximum power output of no less than 640W. The photoelectric conversion efficiency is required to be ≥23.6% on the front side, and the peak power of the rear side must be no less than 70% of the front side. The scale for this lot is 189.19 MWp.
Furthermore, on November 10, CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd. announced the successful candidates for its 2025-2027 PV Module Qualified Supplier Shortlist Collection (Second Announcement). LONGi successfully secured a place on the candidate list for both N-type TOPCon modules and BC modules.
The announcement indicates that the shortlisted suppliers are eligible to participate in the PV module procurement activities organized by the EPC general contractors for CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd.'s various PV power plant projects, as well as the procurement activities for operating period projects organized by CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd.'s project companies.
BC Module Shipments Reach 14.48GW in Q1-Q3 2025
As of the third quarter of 2025, LONGi's cumulative module shipments exceeded 60 GW. TOPCon modules accounted for about 70% of this total, while BC modules accounted for nearly 25%, amounting to approximately 14.48 GW. The production and sales volume of the second-generation BC products have shown rapid month-on-month growth.
Currently, the mainstream power range for the mass-produced BC modules of the company is 650-655W, while the mainstream power for TOPCon modules is around 630W. The BC module capacity is steadily ramping up and is expected to reach 50 GW by the end of 2025.
Of particular note, LONGi has established a small-scale mass production line for HIBC (High-Efficiency Back Contact) products. This product can achieve a power output of 700W+ at a size of 2382 mm*1134 mm , with a mass-produced module efficiency of up to $25.9%$. It is primarily aimed at high-end distributed application scenarios globally and commands a favorable premium in the European distributed market. In the future, LONGi plans to gradually expand the application of HIBC modules in the domestic commercial and industrial market, accelerating the large-scale implementation of this high-efficiency cell technology.
