Shandong Liyuan Technology Co., Ltd. has recently advanced its 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate cathode material project to the environmental impact assessment (EIA) disclosure stage.
Public information shows that Shandong Liyuan Technology Co., Ltd., established on September 10, 2021, represents an important strategic deployment of Jiangsu Lopal Tech. Group Co., Ltd. in the field of new energy materials.
To date, the company has laid out three major projects. Among them, the 50,000-ton LFP cathode material project and the 50,000-ton iron phosphate precursor project have both been completed and put into production, while the 25,000-ton LFP cathode material recycling project is currently under construction.
Earlier, on August 21, Lopal Tech released a private placement plan, proposing to raise RMB 2 billion to fund the construction of the 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate cathode material project, the 85,000-ton high-performance phosphate cathode material project, as well as to supplement working capital.
According to Lopal Tech, the newly funded projects will build production lines capable of producing fourth-generation ultra-high-energy-density LFP cathode materials, while also being compatible with various high-performance phosphate cathode products. This will enhance the company’s flexibility in responding to market demand and further leverage its product differentiation advantages.
Behind the large-scale expansion lies strong order support. Since the beginning of this year, Lopal Tech has signed LFP cathode material supply agreements with multiple companies including CORNEX and CATL. The total contracted volume amounts to approximately 1.61 million tons, with a total contract value exceeding RMB 63 billion, and deliveries scheduled mainly between 2026 and 2030.
