Recently, Sieyuan Electric and CATL signed a three-year memorandum of cooperation on energy storage, with a target cumulative cooperation volume of 50 GWh.
Over the next three years, the two parties will leverage their respective strengths in traditional core business areas to jointly promote a market-oriented dual-sourcing model for energy storage systems as well as supporting equipment such as transmission and distribution solutions. This collaboration aims to achieve two-way synergy across the upstream and downstream segments of the energy storage industry chain.
In addition, the partners will strengthen technical exchanges and project-level cooperation, continuously optimizing their integrated solution capabilities. By improving project delivery efficiency and system reliability, the two companies seek to accelerate the large-scale deployment of energy storage systems within next-generation power networks.
Meanwhile, according to reports from multiple South Korean media outlets, CATL has signed a five-year electrolyte supply agreement with South Korean lithium battery electrolyte manufacturer Enchem.
This cooperation will primarily focus on CATL’s China market, with a supply period spanning 2026 to 2030. The agreement stipulates an average annual supply volume of 70,000 tons, bringing the cumulative total supply to approximately 350,000 tons over the five-year term.
Looking ahead, the scope of cooperation between the two parties is expected to expand further to cover CATL’s newly added production capacities in Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, and other global markets.
