In December 2025, the winning scale of domestic photovoltaic (PV) module bids (including shortlisted ones) reached 8.45GW, with LONGi, Tongwei and Jinko leading the bidding market; the bidding price range stood at 0.66-0.922 CNY/W, and the average price of TOPCon modules rose to 0.752 CNY/W. The delivery modes are diversified, balancing rapid response and long-term inventory needs.
N-type Modules Account for Nearly 90% of the Market, with Leading Enterprises Dominating the Winning Landscape
According to the incomplete statistics observed by EnergyTrend, the scale of PV module projects with announced bidding results and winning candidates in December 2025 reached 8.45GW, including 6.28GW of finalized bid-winning volume and 2.18GW of the first winning candidate volume.
The competitive advantages of leading enterprises are prominent. Three companies—LONGi (1.61GW), Tongwei (1.42GW) and Jinko (1.01GW)—each achieved a winning scale exceeding 1GW.
In terms of technical routes, the winning scale of explicitly specified N-type modules (including shortlisted ones) in December hit 7.53GW, accounting for a high proportion of 89.1%. Large-scale centralized/frame procurement projects from major groups such as China Three Gorges Corporation, Guangzhou Development Group and Shuifa singyes Energy have contributed core incremental volume, and the demand for high-efficiency modules and BC modules continues to heat up.
N-type Module Bidding Price Ranges from 0.66 to 0.788 CNY/W, with TOPCon Average Price Edging Up Slightly
The bidding price range of PV modules in December was 0.66-0.922 CNY/W, with an average price of 0.75 CNY/W. Both the lowest and highest quotes were submitted by Nanjing Oulu Electric Co., Ltd., corresponding to the 2025–2026 PV Module Project of China Tower Energy Jiangsu Branch and the 2025 PV Module Procurement Project of China Tower Huaihua Branch respectively.
From the perspective of technical routes, the bidding price range of explicitly specified N-type modules was 0.66-0.788 CNY/W, with an average price of 0.745 CNY/W.
Breaking it down by segment:
TOPCon Modules: The bidding price range was 0.743-0.756 CNY/W, with an average price of 0.752 CNY/W. Driven by the rising prices of upstream raw materials and the advancement of industry self-discipline, the price of TOPCon modules increased slightly.
BC Modules: The bidding price range was 0.742-0.788 CNY/W, with an average price of 0.757 CNY/W. The lowest bid was submitted by Aiko Solar for the 120MW Yiji Town and 45MW Jiangyan fishery-solar hybrid PV module procurement projects of PowerChina Copper Mountain District, while the highest bid was tendered by Das-Solar for Section 2 of the 2025-2026 centralized PV module procurement project of Guangzhou Development Group.
Diversified Delivery Modes to Meet the Needs of Different Projects
Based on the projects with announced bidding results and winning candidates in December, the delivery modes are diversified, balancing rapid response and long-term inventory needs.
Distributed and small-scale projects mostly require delivery within 14-30 days. For example, the 2025-2026 PV Equipment Procurement Project of China Tower Jiangsu Branch requires delivery within 14 days upon receipt of the dispatch notice.
Large-scale projects mainly adopt long-cycle, batch-by-batch delivery on demand. Among them, the 510MW module project of Huadian Group in Shaanxi requires the commencement of supply within 15 days after the contract takes effect and the completion of full delivery by the end of 2026; the 120MW Copper Mountain District and 45MW Jiangyan projects of PowerChina require batch supply in three phases from December 31, 2025 to March 30, 2026; the 1.15GW Aba Rong'an project of Dadu River Hydropower Development Company (513.53MWp modules) needs to complete supply by September 30, 2026.
