Recently, Tongwei Solar Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tongwei Co., Ltd., has completed a major change in its corporate registration. Its registered capital increased from RMB 1.6 billion to RMB 20.579 billion, representing a surge of 1,186%. At the same time, the company’s legal representative was changed from Song Xiao to Zhou Hua.
As the core enterprise under Tongwei Co., Ltd. dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of crystalline silicon solar cells, Tongwei Solar currently operates subsidiaries and production bases in Chengdu, Meishan, Jintang, Tonghe, Pengshan, as well as Zhongwei. From 2017 to 2024, Tongwei has ranked first globally in solar cell shipments for eight consecutive years, and has also become the first company in the industry to achieve cumulative cell shipments exceeding 300 GW.
While continuously strengthening its capital base and consolidating its leading position in the market, Tongwei Solar is also committed to enhancing its manufacturing “hard power” through digital transformation.
Recently, the “Smart Manufacturing Demonstration Factory Project” of Tongwei Solar (Meishan) Co., Ltd. successfully passed acceptance. By introducing domestically developed core intelligent equipment and mobile robotic systems, the project has achieved digital control across key process stages. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough in the intelligent manufacturing of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells, further improving the company’s overall manufacturing capabilities and operational synergy.
