On January 14, LONGi announced its participation in an industry collaboration supporting PotisEdge and U.S.-based lithium battery supplier NeoVolta in the establishment of a joint venture, NeoVolta Power, LLC. The joint venture plans to build a battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Pendergrass, Georgia, in the United States.
The facility is planned with an initial annual production capacity of 2 GWh, with the potential to expand to 8 GWh in subsequent phases. Mass production is expected to commence in mid-2026. Once operational, the plant will focus on battery pack assembly and system integration, with the core objective of meeting energy storage demand in utility-scale as well as commercial and industrial applications.
Under the joint venture’s ownership and governance structure, NeoVolta will hold a 60% stake and appoint three of the five members of the board of directors, taking primary responsibility for product strategy and market commercialization. PotisEdge will hold a 20% stake, leveraging its deep expertise in the energy storage sector to provide manufacturing and mass-production support. The remaining equity will be held by strategic investors, who will contribute additional technical and operational assistance.
According to available information, LONGi Green Energy completed the acquisition of approximately 62% of PotisEdge’s equity in November 2025, thereby participating indirectly in the U.S. joint venture through its controlling stake in PotisEdge.
On the same day the joint venture was announced, changes to PotisEdge’s corporate registration were also formally completed. The company’s registered capital increased from approximately RMB 360 million to about RMB 450 million, while the legal representative was changed from Shen Junying to Zhong Baoshen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LONGi Green Energy. In addition, several LONGi-affiliated executives officially joined PotisEdge’s management team.
These synchronized moves indicate that LONGi Green Energy has fully assumed operational control of PotisEdge and is positioning the company as a key platform for expanding its overseas energy storage footprint.
