Recently, CATL signed an agreement with Kunming City and the Dianzhong New Area in Yunnan Province to invest in a green intelligent manufacturing base for lithium batteries. Meanwhile, HyperStrong signed a deal with the municipal government of Datong, Shanxi, to further deepen cooperation in intelligent manufacturing and independent energy storage power stations.
CATL Signs Agreement for Yunnan Lithium Battery Base
On January 27, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Kunming City and the Management Committee of the Yunnan Dianzhong New Area.
According to the agreement, the three parties will focus on deep cooperation across four key areas: new energy batteries, green energy, green transportation, and the low-altitude economy.
As a vital component of this partnership, CATL plans to build a green intelligent manufacturing base for lithium batteries in the Yunnan Dianzhong New Area. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
HyperStrong Signs with Datong to Deepen Energy Storage Industry Cooperation
On January 26, Beijing HyperStrong Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Datong Municipal Government. Building upon their existing partnership, the two parties have committed to prioritizing the expansion of manufacturing bases and the implementation of independent energy storage power station projects.
Since the HyperStrong Energy Storage Equipment Industrial Park was established in Datong in 2023, the first phase of its intelligent manufacturing base has already entered operations, with the second phase currently under construction. This signing marks a deep extension of the partnership, moving from a single manufacturing link toward a "manufacturing + power station operation" industrial chain.
