Recently, investment and construction in the new energy battery and energy storage supply chain have remained highly active. Multiple major projects from enterprises such as Kaijin New Energy, CRCC (China Railway Construction Corporation), Rongjie Energy, and Shidai Fulin have seen intensive progress, including contract signings, approvals, or the commencement of construction. Their businesses cover core supply chain segments such as energy storage systems, battery PACKs, anode materials, and lithium iron phosphate (LFP), involving a total investment of over 10 billion yuan.
Banan's 6 Billion Yuan New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project Officially Signed
On February 13, the new energy high-end equipment R&D and intelligent manufacturing base project in Banan District, with a total investment of approximately 6 billion yuan, achieved substantive progress. The multi-party agreement was officially signed, and the project is about to fully enter the implementation and construction phase.
The project is specifically planned into two core construction sectors:
Electrochemical energy storage full supply chain base: With a proposed investment of about 4.2 billion yuan, this sector is promoted by entities such as Artopyra7 and Tegu Industrial. It plans an annual output of 15GWh of energy storage products and will build automated PACK production lines, system integration assembly lines, and testing platforms for core components (PCS/BMS/EMS).
High-end equipment manufacturing base: With a proposed investment of about 1.8 billion yuan, this sector is led by Xinxin Zhiquan. It focuses on building intelligent casting and precision machining workshops, with a planned annual production capacity of 30,000 sets of aerospace precision parts, 200,000 sets of new energy vehicle structural parts, and 50,000 sets of energy storage components.
Currently, the project has completed preliminary industrial synergy matching of international capital, mineral resources, and the core manufacturing end, and is steadily advancing subsequent on-site construction work.
Kaijin New Energy's 200,000-Ton Lithium Battery Anode Material Integrated Project Signed
On February 13, the project cooperation agreement signing ceremony between Guangdong Kaijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and the Guian New Area Management Committee was held. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly build a 200,000-ton-per-year lithium battery anode material integrated project.
Data shows that Kaijin New Energy was established in 2012 and is headquartered in the Songshan Lake National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Dongguan, Guangdong. It primarily engages in the R&D, production, and sales of battery anode materials, such as artificial graphite anode materials, solid-state battery silicon-based anode materials, and energy storage hard carbon anode materials. Its major clients include well-known domestic and international battery manufacturers such as CATL, BYD, Hithium Energy Storage, LG (South Korea), SK On (South Korea), and GS YUASA.
In terms of project layout, Kaijin New Energy has established multiple subsidiaries and production bases in Huzhou (Zhejiang), Ulanqab (Inner Mongolia), Tongren (Guizhou), Yancheng (Jiangsu), and Gutian (Ningde). Among them, the Gutian base was signed and settled in September last year, with a total project investment of 5 billion yuan. It is expected to produce 200,000 tons of high-performance lithium battery anode materials annually, generating an output value of 6 billion yuan and tax revenues reaching 360 million yuan. According to the plan, the first phase of the project will be officially completed and put into production in June this year.
CRCC's Battery PACK Smart Production Line Project Settles in Suzhou
On February 9, the industrial-grade battery PACK smart production line project of CRCC Urban Construction and Transportation Development Co., Ltd. was officially signed and settled in Xiangcheng, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
It is reported that the CRCC industrial-grade battery PACK smart production line project precisely targets the blue ocean market of smart mines, where the electrification rate of pure electric mining trucks, pure electric heavy-duty trucks, pure electric locomotives, and construction machinery is less than 20%. The project also lays out the commercial and industrial energy storage track and will build a high-standard CNAS laboratory to ensure that the quality of products is controllable throughout the entire process from cell selection to system integration. The project is planned to be implemented in two phases, and upon full production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan.
Rongjie Energy's 15GWh Lithium-Ion Power and Energy Storage Battery Production Line Construction Project Approved
Recently, the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the construction project of Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s high-performance lithium-ion power and energy storage battery production line was approved.
It is reported that Rongjie Energy is located at No. 3 Wanxin First Street, Wanqingsha Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou City. The factory area covers a total area of 263,361 square meters and is mainly engaged in the manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries, with an existing annual output of 10GWh of lithium-ion batteries.
To meet the needs of market development, Rongjie Energy plans to use 32,600 square meters of reserved land in the factory area to expand the "high-performance lithium-ion power and energy storage battery production line construction project." By utilizing the existing Building #2 and certain floors of Building #5, it will add an architectural area of 85,167 square meters and a new annual production capacity of 15GWh of lithium-ion batteries. After the expansion, the entire plant will have an annual output of 25GWh of lithium-ion batteries. The total investment of the project is 1.48 billion yuan, of which 29.6 million yuan is allocated for environmental protection.
