Recently, Chinese photovoltaic (PV) enterprises have successively secured major orders in both domestic and overseas markets. Domestically, LONGi won the bid for the 800MW module procurement of the Tengger Desert mega-base in Gansu Province at a price of 0.754 RMB/W. Overseas, JinkoSolar signed an 18.29MW distributed module order in New Zealand, while Sineng Electric is set to provide inverter solutions for a 246.4MW large-scale solar park in Egypt.
LONGi Wins 800MW Module Order in Gansu
On March 5th, the bidding results for the procurement of 800,000 kW (800MW) high-efficiency PV modules for the Hexi New Energy Base in the Tengger Desert, Gansu Province, were announced. The winning enterprise was LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd., with a unit price of 0.754 RMB/W.
According to the bidding announcement, the procurement involves 632,000 kW (632MW) of high-efficiency PV modules for the 3-million-kW (3GW) Jiuduntan PV project in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, and 168,000 kW (168MW) of high-efficiency PV modules for the 800,000-kW (800MW) Hongshagang PV project in Minqin County, both belonging to the Gansu Tengger Desert Hexi New Energy Base. The bidding project is divided into a single lot to procure a total of 800MW. The maximum power output is required to be no less than 650Wp. Regarding photoelectric conversion efficiency, the front side must be ≥23.8%, and the peak power of the rear side must be no less than 70% of the front side.
According to the requirements, delivery shall commence within 15 days after the contract takes effect, and all module deliveries should, in principle, be completed before June 2026.
JinkoSolar Signs 18.29MW Module Order in New Zealand
Recently, JinkoSolar secured another new order in the Oceanian market, successfully signing an 18.29MW PV module supply agreement for the New Zealand market.
This entire order will supply the Tiger Neo 3.0 series modules, which are specifically targeted for local commercial, industrial, and residential distributed PV projects in New Zealand.
Sineng Electric Secures 246.4MW Solar Park Order in Egypt
Recently, Sineng Electric reached an important cooperation agreement with Hassan Allam, a well-known engineering project contractor in Egypt, to provide centralized PV inverter solutions for the Benban Solar Park located in Aswan Governorate, southern Egypt.
As one of the world's largest solar power plants, the Benban Solar Park is the core engineering project of Egypt's landmark "Light of the Nile" Feed-in Tariff program, with the project scale reaching 246.4MW.
Addressing the extreme local climate environment typically characterized by high temperatures and sandstorms, Sineng Electric has tailor-made a centralized PV inverter solution that precisely adapts to local needs. This includes 27 sets of 8.8MW and 2 sets of 4.4MW centralized inverter and step-up transformer integrated units, effectively ensuring long-term stability and high returns.
