Recently, Chinese energy storage enterprises have continued to accelerate their global expansion, successively securing major orders in the European market. Notably, Sungrow successfully signed a 1GWh energy storage system framework agreement, while Sermatec secured over 130MWh of energy storage orders across multiple European countries and has entered an intensive delivery phase.
Sungrow Signs 1GWh Energy Storage System Supply Agreement
Recently, at the Energy Storage Summit in Europe, Sungrow and Swiss utility-scale energy storage developer Delta Capacity officially signed a battery energy storage system framework agreement with a total capacity reaching 1GWh.
Under the agreement, Sungrow will act as the core equipment supplier, delivering its PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage systems to Delta Capacity. This batch of equipment, totaling 1GWh, will be delivered in phases and primarily utilized for grid-side energy storage projects to be deployed by Delta Capacity in the European market.
Prior to the signing of this massive 1GWh order, the two parties had already established a foundation for cooperation in the Nordic market. Earlier this year, the Ånge 70MW/160MWh energy storage project in Sweden—led by Delta Capacity and utilizing Sungrow equipment—was successfully implemented. This project validated the operational stability of the energy storage equipment under the extreme cold climate conditions of Northern Europe, establishing a foundation of technical and commercial mutual trust for scaling up their collaboration.
Sermatec Secures Over 130MWh of Energy Storage Orders in the European Market
Recently, Sermatec has continuously secured and successfully executed multiple energy storage project orders in the European market, expanding its business footprint across Western, Central, and Eastern Europe. The orders cover a variety of application scenarios, including frequency regulation and peak shaving, solar-plus-storage, and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage, with a cumulative order capacity exceeding 130MWh.
In terms of large-scale energy storage and core market orders, the company has successfully signed and advanced several projects exceeding ten megawatts. Among these, the 80MWh Phase III project in Poland has entered the batch shipment phase in accordance with contractual milestones; equipment for the 20MWh project in Spain has arrived at the port and is currently being delivered to the project site; and the 15MWh project order in Germany (comprising BESS and PCS integrated container equipment) has also been shipped after overcoming logistical cycle challenges.
Regarding emerging markets and C&I energy storage orders, the company's business has successfully expanded into the Central and Eastern European region. The AC and DC side equipment for the 10MWh project in Bulgaria is steadily arriving at the destination port, entering the on-site delivery phase; meanwhile, the 6.264MWh C&I energy storage order for Croatia (including 24 units of 261kWh energy storage cabinets) was also successfully shipped in early February.
