Recently, several key projects within the domestic battery and new energy materials supply chain have achieved substantial progress. Multiple projects covering sub-sectors such as power and energy storage batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium iron phosphate materials, and lithium battery separators have successively started construction, received approval, or been completed, indicating that the capacity building of the upstream and downstream industrial chain is advancing steadily.
Gotion High-tech's Jiangxi Ganzhou Industrial Park Starts Construction
On March 8th, according to the "Nankang Release," the Gotion High-tech (Ganzhou) Industrial Park project officially started construction.
It is understood that the Gotion High-tech (Ganzhou) Industrial Park project is located in the Jingba Industrial Park of the Nankang Economic Development Zone in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. With an initial investment of 3.2 billion yuan, it will center on two major emerging tracks: the low-altitude economy and new energy. Focusing on green and low-carbon development, the project will prioritize three core sectors: a high-end aircraft power battery smart manufacturing project, a green energy and zero-carbon park integrated demonstration project, and a "transportation powerhouse" demonstration project. This will drive the accelerated agglomeration of upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain, forming a comprehensive industrial layout of "R&D + production + application + support."
Jayson's 100,000-Ton Iron Phosphate/Lithium Iron Phosphate Project Approved
Recently, a project invested and constructed by Sichuan Jayson New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., boasting an annual output of 100,000 tons of specialized iron phosphate and 100,000 tons of specialized lithium iron phosphate, passed its energy conservation report approval.
Reportedly, the project is located within the Ganzi-Meishan Industrial Park in Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. Phase I will primarily build 2 flexible production lines for specialized iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate, while Phase II will primarily construct 9 flexible production lines for specialized iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate. Upon completion, it will form a flexible production capacity capable of yielding 100,000 tons of iron phosphate/lithium iron phosphate annually.
Guangdong Punaida Sodium-Ion Battery Project Commences
On March 8th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Guangdong Punaida sodium-ion battery production project was held at the project site in the Zhoutian Industrial Park.
Reportedly, this project, with a total investment of 6.75 billion yuan, is located in Renhua County, Shaoguan City. It focuses on three major application scenarios: energy storage, low-speed transportation, and specialized fields, striving to build an R&D and production base for sodium-ion battery cells, battery modules, and energy storage systems.
The project will be constructed in two phases. Once fully completed, the estimated annual output value will reach 15.0 billion yuan. Among this, the Phase I 5GWh production line is scheduled to go into operation in June 2027, with an expected annual output value of approximately 3.0 billion yuan upon reaching designated capacity.
Construction of Guoke Energy (Lanzhou New Area) Battery Project Accelerates
Recently, the construction of the new energy battery production base project by Guoke Energy (Lanzhou New Area) Co., Ltd., which has an annual output of 30GWh, achieved its latest progress.
As of now, the foundation and earthwork construction for the project's battery cell factory have been completely finished, and the construction progress of the factory's main steel structure has reached 30%. Meanwhile, the EPC bidding work for a dedicated 110kV substation is proceeding in an orderly manner, and the construction of supporting facilities such as water, electricity, fire protection, and pipeline networks is simultaneously being accelerated.
It is reported that the total investment for this new energy battery production base project is 9.0 billion yuan, and it will be constructed in three phases. The Phase I project, which is currently being accelerated, involves an investment of 2.8 billion yuan and will generate an annual production capacity of 10GWh of lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery cells upon completion.
Yunnan Energy New Material's Lithium Battery Separator Project Phase I Completed
On March 9th, Yunnan Energy New Material Co., Ltd. announced that the Phase I project of its production base, Yuxi Enjie, which features an annual output of 1.6 billion square meters of lithium battery separator film, has been fully completed. All eight production lines have been established and meet the conditions for starting production.
According to the introduction, the Yuxi Enjie Phase I project has a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan. It introduces industry-leading wet-process separator manufacturing technology and focuses on the R&D and production of high-performance lithium battery separator films. Following its completion, the project has now formed a production capacity scale of 800 million square meters per year.
