According to EnergyTrend, the domestic energy storage industry has maintained strong momentum entering March. Projects across the energy storage and lithium battery industrial chain have been intensively signed, commenced, and put into operation in many regions nationwide, covering key segments including anode materials, wind power converters, flow batteries, and energy storage systems, further consolidating the industrial layout.
200,000 TPY Lithium Battery Anode Material Project Signed
On March 15, an integrated project with an annual output of 200,000 tons of lithium battery anode materials was signed and settled in the Shizuishan High-tech Zone, co-invested by investors from Sichuan, Gansu and other regions.
With a planned total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of over 4 billion yuan upon reaching full capacity. It will further strengthen and extend the industrial chain, and improve the new energy and new material industrial system of the zone.
First Converter Rolled Off at Hopewind’s Hungary Manufacturing Base
On March 13, Hopewind Electric announced that the first 950V/5.25MW water-cooled doubly-fed wind power converter was successfully produced at its Hungary manufacturing base. The base, located in Fót, Pest County, Hungary, covers a total area of over 3,600 square meters.
At present, the base mainly produces wind power converters. In the future, it will gradually expand to photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems and supporting products, realizing localized production and delivery of core wind, solar and storage equipment. This will effectively shorten delivery lead times, optimize cross-border logistics and cost structure, meet European technical standards and market demand, and provide customers with more stable and tailored product support.
China’s First 100MW-Class Flow Battery Production Line Launched
According to the Xiangzhou District Science and Technology & Investment Promotion Center, the automated production line of Yifu Energy Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation on March 12 in Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai.
This is China’s first 100MW-level automated production line for high-power-density flow battery stacks, with a designed annual capacity of 100 MW.
The high-power-density stack independently developed by Yifu Energy features an operating current density of up to 400mA/cm², leading the industry. The production line integrates key processes including automatic stacking, pressing and fastening, turnover testing and airtightness inspection. Automation has greatly improved assembly efficiency and product consistency, laying a solid foundation for large-scale application.
Upon full operation, the line is expected to achieve an annual output value of approximately 300 million yuan, and drive nearly 800 million yuan in output value for flow battery energy storage systems, strongly advancing the commercialization of flow batteries in long-duration energy storage.
Shenzhen Energy Storage Base Breaks Ground With 800M Yuan Investment
Recently, the Baolong Intelligent Robot and New Energy Storage R&D and Industrialization Base officially started construction. With a total investment of 800 million yuan, the project is located in Baolong Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen, covering a land area of about 46,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 228,000 square meters.
The project focuses on intelligent robots and new energy storage, building a closed-loop “R&D + industrialization” base. It is currently under foundation construction and scheduled for completion in 2028.
In intelligent robots, the project will focus on R&D and manufacturing of lithium battery warehousing equipment. In new energy storage, it will specialize in energy storage system development and production. Upon completion, it will achieve an annual capacity of 2,500 lithium battery warehousing units and 1.2 GW of energy storage systems.
