According to EnergyTrend, on March 17, leading Chinese PV enterprises Tongwei and LONGi Green Energy both announced major solar module orders in Europe on the same day. Tongwei signed a 1 GW TNC 3.0 module supply deal with Poland’s KENO, while LONGi reached a 500 MW BC module agreement with UK-based CCL Solar. The two industry leaders are further penetrating the European market with high-efficiency N-type PV technologies.
Tongwei Signs 1 GW Module Agreement with Poland’s KENO
On March 17, Tongwei announced that it has recently signed a 1 GW solar module cooperation agreement with KENO Sp. z o.o., the largest PV distributor in Poland. Ji Weihua, Head of Eastern Europe & Americas Module Sales at Tongwei’s PV Commercial Division, and Paweł Grzegorczyk, CEO of KENO, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
The partnership between the two sides dates back to 2020. They launched half-cut module cooperation in 2024 and upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2025, integrating product supply, market expansion and channel collaboration.
Transportation and installation performance is critical for the Polish market. The flexible buffer layer design between cells in Tongwei’s TNC 3.0 modules greatly reduces the risk of cell cracking. With multi-busbar and multi-cut designs, Tongwei’s new-generation TNC 3.0 products deliver further improvements in power output, system reliability and long-term energy yield.
LONGi Secures 500 MW BC Module Deal with UK’s CCL Solar
On the same day, LONGi also announced that it has recently signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with CCL Solar, a key partner in the UK.
Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation on 500 MW of LONGi BC high-efficiency modules, marking an important layout for LONGi in the high-value UK and Nordic markets.
LONGi’s high-efficiency modules, represented by the Hi MO X10, are developed based on HPBC 2.0 technology.They feature higher conversion efficiency, better power generation performance, stronger reliability and an aesthetically pleasing design.
