Recently, multiple major projects in the fields of energy storage cells, solid-state batteries, and battery materials have successively ushered in new progress. Among them, the construction of Pengcheng Infinite's 54GWh energy storage cell base is accelerating, Welion Hyper and Sanhezheng Energy are successively increasing their investments in the solid-state battery track, and Xingfa Group is further expanding its lithium iron phosphate production capacity.
Pengcheng Infinite：New Progress on the 54GWh Cell Manufacturing Base Project
According to Xuzhou Media, the cell manufacturing base project of Shenzhen Pengcheng Infinite New Energy Co., Ltd., located in the Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park, Xuzhou District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is advancing its construction at full capacity.
The project is currently in the pile foundation and basic construction stage, with plans to start mechanical and electrical installation in July. The main structure of the first phase is expected to be completed, with equipment installed and commissioned by the end of September this year, and trial production is scheduled to be realized in November.
As the first energy storage cell project in the Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park, the cell manufacturing base project has a total investment of approximately 4.5 billion yuan and is planned to be constructed in two phases.
Once the project reaches full production, it can form an annual production capacity of 54GWh of energy storage cells.
Welion Hyper：Environmental Impact Assessment Publicized for the 4GWh Solid-State Lithium-Ion Battery Project
Recently, the acceptance of the environmental impact report form for the 4GWh annual output solid-state lithium-ion battery construction project of Welion Hyper (Zibo) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Zibo High-tech Zone was publicized.
The project is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Weihu Road and Minxiang Road in the High-tech Zone of Zibo City, with a total investment of 423.7933 million yuan, and it can produce 4GWh of solid-state lithium-ion batteries annually upon completion.
It is reported that Welion Hyper (Zibo) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture in 2021 by Welion New Energy, Zibo Jingneng Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Hyperstrong Technology Co., Ltd.
Xingfa Group：Plans to Build a 100,000-Ton/Year Battery-Grade Lithium Iron Phosphate Project
On April 3, Xingfa Group issued an announcement stating that, in order to further improve the company's new energy industry layout and enrich its product variety, its wholly-owned sub-subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Xingfa Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest 1.381 billion yuan to build a 100,000-ton/year battery-grade lithium iron phosphate project.
The construction period of the project is estimated to be 6 months, and the funding sources will be self-owned funds and bank loans.
At present, the project has completed preliminary procedures such as filing, land use planning permission, and approvals for energy and environmental impact assessments.
After the project is put into production, Xingfa Group's total lithium iron phosphate production capacity will increase from the current 80,000 tons/year to 180,000 tons/year.
Sanhezheng Energy：Signs 3.2 Billion Yuan Solid-State Battery Project
According to the website of the Dong'an County People's Government in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, on March 30, the Dong'an County People's Government and Shenzhen Sanhezheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a project investment framework agreement.
According to the content of the agreement, this new energy industry project is proposed to be constructed in three phases and is planned to be fully completed and put into production within five years.
Among them, the first phase plans an investment of about 580 million yuan to build a solid-state lithium battery production line with an annual output of 1GWh; the second phase plans an investment of about 1.3 billion yuan to construct a new energy industrial park with an annual output of 2GWh and related supporting facilities, with a total gross floor area of about 150,000 square meters; the third phase plans an investment of about 1.3 billion yuan to construct a new energy industrial park with an annual output of 2GWh and related supporting facilities.
It is reported that the project's products cover multiple fields, including solid-state lithium battery manufacturing, battery packs, household mobile power supplies, industrial energy storage, container energy storage, electric construction vehicles, and electric agricultural vehicles.
