According to EnergyTrend, five enterprises including JA Solar, LONGi Green Energy, Jinko Solar, Singularity Energy and Luoliu Intelligent have recently seen frequent developments in the energy storage business. The updates cover energy storage order signing and delivery, launch of new energy storage products, and strategic partnership cooperation, reflecting the rapid expansion of the energy storage industry.
JA Solar Delivers 10MWh Energy Storage Project
Recently, JA Solar successfully delivered a 5MW/10MWh energy storage system, which is scheduled to enter commissioning soon.
Located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the 10MWh project adopts a lithium iron phosphate energy storage system solution equipped with liquid cooling temperature control technology and prefabricated battery cabin design. The system integrates battery units, BMS, fire protection system, liquid cooling units and auxiliary systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation while improving deployment efficiency.
The project is configured with two energy storage subsystems, each rated at 2.5MW/5.015MWh, consisting of one converter-transformer integrated unit and one energy storage battery cabin. The delivery and upcoming commissioning mark the further implementation of JA Solar’s energy storage applications in municipal and utility scenarios.
LONGi Signs 25MWh Energy Storage Deal in Pakistan
On April 29, LONGi launched two new energy storage products and supporting solution portfolios in Pakistan.
The new offerings include Hi-MO One, a battery energy storage system (BESS) for commercial, industrial and residential scenarios; LONGi One Bank, a complete 3.1MW/6.25MWh energy storage system suitable for commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications; and LONGi Horizon Harvest, an all-in-one solar water pump system integrating PV modules, variable frequency drive technology and submersible pumps.
Following the product launch, LONGi signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with EY Enterprises and Green Solergy Engineering Services respectively. Under the agreements, LONGi will supply 15MWh of BESS solutions to EY Enterprises and another 10MWh to Green Solergy Engineering Services in 2026, totaling 25MWh.
Jinko Solar Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Electric
On April 27, Jinko Solar announced that it had officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Electric Power Electronics Co., Ltd.
The two parties will carry out all-round cooperation in domestic and overseas energy storage project development and PV-storage integrated technological innovation. Leveraging respective strengths in power electronics technology and full-stack self-developed energy storage systems, both sides will jointly promote the large-scale implementation of energy storage projects.
Shanghai Electric Power Electronics has long been engaged in core power electronics technologies with profound expertise and mature application experience in converters, PCS and power quality management. Jinko Solar boasts prominent advantages in full-stack self-developed energy storage systems, liquid-cooled energy storage products and global project delivery capabilities. The two sides will deepen collaboration in PV-storage integration, source-grid-load-storage integration, joint R&D of key equipment and priority procurement.
Singularity Energy’s Hungary Energy Storage Project Connected to Grid
On April 29, Singularity Energy announced that the 11MW/22MWh generation-grid side energy storage project for Hungary’s national utility MVM has achieved full-capacity grid connection and passed all performance tests at one time.
Located in Sopron in northwestern Hungary bordering Austria, the project sits at a key node of the Central European energy and logistics corridor. Coordinated by Singularity Energy’s overseas sales, R&D, engineering and pre-sales technical teams, a total of 53 sets of eBlock-418A energy storage units were delivered on schedule, and the project was officially connected to the grid at full capacity on April 23.
This project marks Singularity Energy’s first grid-connected generation-side and grid-side overseas project, as well as the debut application of its self-developed energy storage solutions in the international market.
Luoliu Intelligent Inks 10GWh Energy Storage Cooperation in Turkey
On April 18, Luoliu Intelligent held a signing ceremony with a major Turkish energy storage customer for a 10GWh fully automatic module and PACK production line for energy storage batteries and blade batteries.
At present, the company is pressing ahead with the manufacturing of the production line at its newly completed and operational headquarters manufacturing base. The customer plans to conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in May, followed by on-site equipment commissioning and production launch by Luoliu Intelligent in July, with official operation scheduled for August.
