Recently, EVE Energy, EAST, and Veken Technology have successively advanced project signings, production line upgrades, and product rollouts. Meanwhile, large-scale battery projects by Dangzhuo Technology and Hou Ji Energy have entered the environmental impact assessment (EIA) stage. In addition, a sodium-ion battery project with an annual capacity of 7GWh has officially landed in Foshan.
EVE Energy Signs Supporting Project for Energy Storage Factory
On May 29, the intelligent supporting project for Phase II of EVE Energy's super energy storage factory was officially signed in Qidong, Jiangsu Province.
It is reported that the project has a total investment of 500 million RMB. It focuses on upgrading the intelligent production supporting system and expanding the production capacity of high-quality energy storage products. The construction scope includes an NMP (N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone) recycled liquid refining production line and a CNT (Carbon Nanotube) production line; the civil engineering, equipment, installation, and supporting public auxiliary facilities for the testing building; as well as the civil engineering and supporting facilities for the fire training center. This lays a solid foundation for the industrial park to build a new energy industry distribution base for East China.
EAST Rolls Out Sodium-Ion Battery Cells
On May 29, the sodium-ion battery cell products from EAST's 2GWh annual capacity new energy storage equipment manufacturing comprehensive demonstration (Phase II) project successfully rolled off the production line.
The project has an estimated total investment of 504 million RMB and covers a total area of 120 mu (approximately 19.8 acres). Its construction is being advanced in two phases. Phase I has been fully completed and put into production, with cumulative production and sales of energy storage systems reaching 1.2GWh. The Phase II project focuses on building the core production capacity for sodium-ion battery cells, striving to create a specialized, intelligent, and standardized sodium battery production base.
Reportedly, this line is currently the first GWh-level sodium-ion battery cell mass production line in China. It was completed in January this year, officially put into production in March, and achieved regular battery rollouts in May. Its core flagship product is the 50160118-50Ah sodium-ion battery cell.
7GWh Sodium-Ion Battery Production Project Lands
On May 29, a well-known domestic sodium-ion battery enterprise signed an agreement with Foshan City and Nanhai District, planning to build a sodium-ion battery production base project with an annual capacity of 7GWh. The fixed asset investment is approximately 1.5 billion RMB.
The project covers a total land area of 190 mu (approximately 31.3 acres) and is proposed to be located in Shishan Town, Nanhai District. It focuses on the research, development, production, and sales of new energy batteries, aiming to build a large-scale production base that integrates intelligent manufacturing, technological innovation, and market application. Once it reaches full production capacity, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2.5 billion RMB.
Veken Technology Commences Phase II Sodium Battery Project in Nanchang
On May 29, the production line upgrade at Veken Technology's Nanchang base was officially launched, primarily covering the expansion of the sodium battery production line and the upgrade of Veken's existing production lines.
After the project is implemented, the company's capabilities for large-scale production and mass delivery will be significantly enhanced, providing a stable supply for the global energy storage and special power supply markets.
60GWh Novel Battery Construction Project
On May 26, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for Dangzhuo (Quzhou) Battery Technology Co., Ltd.'s 60GWh annual capacity novel battery construction project was announced.
The project is located in Plot M327-1, Chengbei Block, Longyou High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It plans to purchase advanced production equipment, including cathode and anode mixing systems, cathode and anode coating machines, cathode and anode rolling and pre-slitting integrated machines, cathode and anode die-cutting machines, winding machines, stacking machines, liquid injection machines, sealing nail welding machines, and assembly material systems. It will also be equipped with supporting facilities such as air compressors, water chillers, dehumidifiers, nitrogen generation equipment, and exhaust gas treatment equipment, ultimately forming a production capacity of 60GWh of novel batteries per year.
18GWh Large Cylindrical Lithium-Ion Battery Project
On May 26, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) public notice was released for Anhui Hou Ji Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s 18GWh annual capacity large cylindrical lithium-ion battery construction project.
Information shows that the project investor and builder is Anhui Hou Ji Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The 18GWh annual capacity large cylindrical lithium-ion battery construction project has a planned total investment of 3.229 billion RMB, which includes an environmental protection investment of 20 million RMB. It covers a land area of approximately 207.3 mu (approximately 34.1 acres), and the construction period is one year.
