On May 28, Pylontech hosted its 2025 Annual Battery Industry Collective Earnings Briefing and the First Quarter 2026 Earnings Briefing, disclosing the latest updates on its energy storage business, sodium-ion battery products, overseas market expansion, and production capacity construction.
In the first quarter of 2026, Pylontech's product sales volume reached 1,177 MWh, representing a significant year-on-year increase of 193.52%. The company stated that this performance growth was primarily driven by rising demand in mature overseas markets and successful breakthroughs in emerging regional markets, coupled with the synergistic development of its domestic energy storage and shared battery-swapping businesses.
In terms of production capacity layout, the overseas manufacturing facility jointly invested and constructed by Pylontech and Italy's Energy S.p.A. has officially landed in Italy and will primarily be used for manufacturing energy storage products. Concurrently, the company is advancing the construction of a 10 GWh lithium battery R&D and manufacturing base project, as well as pushing forward the preparation of a 2 GWh energy storage battery and integration project. Notably, the 10 GWh lithium battery R&D and manufacturing base is projected to be ready for use by December 2026.
Sodium-ion batteries emerged as another major focal point during the briefing. Pylontech revealed that its sodium-ion batteries have successfully been deployed across multiple application scenarios. In the start-stop battery sector, the company has developed wide-temperature-range, high-rate pouch batteries and achieved mass delivery; for the light vehicle market, it has launched a series of 1 to 3 kWh products, while also specifically developing low-temperature sodium battery products tailored for northern markets.
Looking ahead, the company will continue to deeply cultivate key scenarios such as residential energy storage, commercial and industrial energy storage, and light motive power, thereby enhancing its product adaptability and customer coverage capabilities. Furthermore, Pylontech aims to optimize its product and customer structures, increase the proportion of high-quality orders, and drive continuous improvement in its overall operational quality.
