According to EnergyTrend, four enterprises including Risen Energy, Pylontech, Tecloman Energy Storage and Pingmei Shenma Energy Storage have recently advanced overseas grid-connected projects, overseas strategic cooperation and mass delivery of new domestic energy storage products simultaneously. Key updates are as follows:
Risen Energy Delivers Energy Storage Products for 10 Projects in Japan
On June 16, Risen Energy announced major progress in its global energy storage delivery business. The company has delivered equipment for a total of 10 Japanese energy storage projects this year, three of which have been fully handed over and commissioned, with a combined capacity exceeding 26MWh.
All projects adopt Risen Energy’s self-developed liquid-cooled energy storage systems of the Risen eFlex and eTron series, which are widely deployed in core power supply zones of Tokyo Electric Power Company.
The delivered Risen eFlex project marks the first large-scale application of the 836kWh Risen eFlex liquid-cooled energy storage system in Japan, with a total capacity of 8.36MWh. The whole set of equipment took only four months from contract signing to delivery. It has been successfully connected to the grid and participates in transactions on the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX).
Pylontech’s Czech Energy Storage Project Goes Online and Enters Operation
On June 16, Pylontech announced that the energy storage project supplied by the company in the Czech Republic has been officially grid-connected and commissioned, with a scale of 7.5MW/15MWh.
The project is equipped with three containerized L5000-BAT energy storage systems from Pylontech featuring a 0.5C charge-discharge rate to deliver stable power output for around two hours. The systems are now fully operational for commercial use.
Tecloman Signs MOU with Indonesian Cooperative Alliance
On June 16, Tecloman Energy Storage disclosed that it recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian Cooperative Alliance at the alliance’s headquarters in Jakarta.
Both parties agreed to jointly develop green energy projects centered on "PV + energy storage" leveraging the alliance’s nationwide organizational network in Indonesia. A small exhibition hall of Tecloman located at the alliance headquarters was inaugurated during the signing ceremony.
Per the agreement, the two sides will prioritize building independent PV-storage power stations across regions covered by the cooperative alliance, introduce Chinese PV and energy storage equipment manufacturing industries and advance local assembly. They will also jointly launch PV and energy storage technical training programs and talent development initiatives.
Pingmei Shenma Energy Storage Ships Sodium-ion Energy Storage Project
On June 14, Henan Pingmei Shenma Energy Storage Co., Ltd., the energy storage subsidiary of Pingmei Shenma Group, completed the full assembly, factory inspection and mass shipment of a 30MWh sodium-ion cell energy storage system. This is the first large-scale commercial sodium-ion energy storage project launched by Pingmei Shenma Group.
Notably, Pingmei Shenma Energy Storage has achieved rapid progress. Its first sodium-ion cell PACK rolled off the production line on May 28, and the company finished full-process testing to realize mass shipment within a short timeframe.
To date, Pingmei Shenma Energy Storage has completed layout of three major energy storage technology routes: lithium-ion, sodium-ion and all-vanadium flow batteries. Lithium-ion products serve as its core mass-production lineup; sodium-ion products have entered mass commercial application; long-duration vanadium flow batteries are undergoing capacity expansion to complete its portfolio of low-cost low-temperature energy storage products.
