Recently, bidding and project orders in the photovoltaic (PV) industry have continued to land. Datang Group, Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group Company Ltd. (ZJENERGY), and CHN Energy Hainan have collectively announced the winning candidates for procurement projects exceeding 13GW in total. Meanwhile, YC Solar has completed the construction of a heavy-duty truck PV charging project, and TrinaTracker has newly signed a 305MW PV mounting system order in Ireland.
Datang Group Announces Candidates for 11GW Module Centralized Procurement
On July 3, the winning candidates for Datang Group's 2026-2027 PV module framework procurement were announced. The project is divided into three sections, among which N-type TOPCon accounts for 6GW, HJT for 1GW, and BC modules for 4GW, totaling 11GW in scale.
Specifically, for the 6GW N-type TOPCon section, ten companies were shortlisted: JinkoSolar, Tongwei, Trina Solar, JA Solar, DMEGC, TCL Zhonghuan, Huayao Photovoltaic, Yingli Solar, Gaojing Solar, and Chint. Their bidding prices ranged from 0.705 to 0.8 RMB/W, with an average price of 0.756 RMB/W.
For the 1GW N-type HJT section, three companies were shortlisted: Risen Energy, Canadian Solar, and SPIC Jiangxi. Their bidding prices ranged from 0.741 to 0.772 RMB/W, with an average price of 0.761 RMB/W.
For the 4GW N-type BC section, five companies were shortlisted: TCL Zhonghuan, Gaojing Solar, Huayao Photovoltaic, Aiko Solar, and LONGi. Their bidding prices ranged from 0.790 to 0.812 RMB/W, with an average price of 0.8 RMB/W.
Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group Company Ltd. Announces Winning Candidates for 2.52GW Module Procurement
Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Energy Group Company Ltd. (Zhejiang Energy) successively announced the winning candidates for module bidding across several large-scale PV base projects, with the three projects reaching a cumulative scale of 2.52GW.
Specifically, the 1.2GW PV project in Hongshagang, Minqin County, Wuwei City—which is part of the Hexi New Energy Base in the Tengger Desert of Gansu Province—is divided into two sections.
Among them, Section I has a scale of 584.64MWp, with Trina Solar, JinkoSolar, and JA Solar shortlisted. Section II has a scale of 677.99MWp, with Aiko Solar, DMEGC, and LONGi shortlisted.
At the same time, the winning candidates for the eastern area of the 2GW Huanghuatan PV project in Gulang, Gansu (part of the "Gansu Power to Zhejiang" initiative) were also announced on the same day. The eastern area of this project has a scale of 1258.5456MWp, and the identically shortlisted module candidates are Trina Solar, JinkoSolar, and JA Solar.
CHN Energy Announces Winning Candidates for 95MW Module Procurement
On July 1, the winning candidates for the open bidding of PV module procurement by the New Energy Development Company of Hainan Company (under China Energy Investment Corporation Co., Ltd., commonly known as CHN Energy) were announced. The first winning candidate is Trina Solar, with a bid price of 70.8215625 million RMB and a unit price of 0.745 RMB/W. The second winning candidate is TCL Zhonghuan, with a bid price of 74.136262 million RMB and a unit price of 0.7799 RMB/W.
According to the bidding announcement, this tender includes 94.3475MWp of modules for the Hebei Pingshan (Phase I) 115MW PV power generation project, featuring N-type monocrystalline bifacial double-glass 650Wp modules; it also includes the procurement of 0.715MWp of modules for the Hainan Qionghai 100MW agri-PV complementary power generation project, featuring N-type monocrystalline bifacial double-glass 715Wp modules. The supply is scheduled to be completed in batches between July 2026 and December 2026.
TrinaTracker Signs 305MW PV Mounting System Order
At The Smarter E Europe exhibition, TrinaTracker officially signed a supply agreement with Renvolt, a leading European EPC and O&M (Operation and Maintenance) service provider for utility-scale ground-mounted PV and energy storage.
According to the agreement, TrinaTracker will provide a total of 305MW of PV mounting system solutions for a portfolio of utility-scale ground-mounted PV projects developed by Renvolt in Ireland.
It is worth noting that the two parties have already collaborated to implement PV projects with a total installed capacity of over 1.2GW across multiple European countries. Their cooperation covers TrinaTracker's diversified technical product lines, including the Vanguard 1P and Vanguard 2P smart tracking solutions, as well as the FixOrigin fixed-tilt mounting solutions.
YC Solar Completes 3.67MW Heavy-Duty Truck PV Charging Project
Recently, the Jiaozuo heavy-duty truck PV charging project, contracted and built by YC Solar, was officially completed.
It is reported that the project covers an area of 15,000 square meters with a PV installed capacity of 3.67MW. It adopts the "self-generation for self-use with surplus power fed to the grid" model. The first phase is equipped with three 2500kVA transformers and 24 smart charging terminals, specially designed for rapid energy replenishment scenarios for large freight trucks.
