According to EnergyTrend, several PV and energy storage enterprises including LONGi, TCL Photovoltaic Technology, Sungrow, Sermatec Energy, CATL and Yupont Electric Power have successively signed deals recently, announcing major energy storage cooperation frameworks and orders for multiple energy storage projects at home and abroad.
LONGi signs cooperation for 300MWh PV-storage project in Italy
On July 22, LONGi announced that it had recently inked a cooperation agreement with global energy firm RWE. Both parties will deploy a large-scale utility-scale PV and battery energy storage system project on Sicily, Italy, with an energy storage capacity of approximately 300MWh.
The project will adopt a 4-hour energy storage configuration and deploy LONGiBank 2.0 6.25MWh products. Featuring a liquid-cooled integrated lithium iron phosphate system design, the product achieves an energy density up to 146Wh/L, delivering a single-container capacity of 6,251kWh within an optimized 20-foot standard container.
Energy storage supply project of TCL Photovoltaic Technology comes into operation
On July 22, TCL Photovoltaic Technology announced that the 15MW/30MWh energy storage project jointly developed with Lens Technology has officially launched at Lens Technology’s Changsha campus.
It is learned that TCL Photovoltaic Technology provided a customized integrated energy storage solution for Lens Technology. Boasting a total capacity of 15MW/30MWh and covering an area of roughly 900 ㎡, the project operates under a "two-charge two-discharge" mode. It runs in synergy with the existing on-site PV system to build a smart energy consumption system integrating PV and energy storage.
Sungrow secures energy storage system order in Italy
On July 21, overseas media ESSnews reported that independent power producer BNZ has signed a supply agreement with Sungrow. Sungrow will supply battery energy storage systems with a total scale of 240MWh for two operational PV power plants in Italy.
Under the agreement, energy storage facilities will be matched to two PV plants located in the Province of Viterbo, Lazio Region: the 45MW Rinaldone PV Plant and the 53MW Camposcala PV Plant. The supply scope covers batteries, energy storage containers, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), medium-voltage equipment, as well as commissioning, on-site testing, technical training and a third-party energy management system.
Sermatec Energy signs GW-level overseas energy storage cooperation deal
On July 21, Sermatec Energy signed a GW-level overseas energy storage project cooperation agreement with Romania’s WALDEVAR Energy.
Per the agreement, the two sides will establish a long-term partnership to jointly explore the battery energy storage system market in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe, covering the full value chain from project development and equipment supply to commissioning, delivery and after-sales services.
Sermatec Energy will set up a long-term mechanism for standardized overseas project development, cross-regional joint market operation and coordination with local resources to facilitate the rollout of a batch of energy storage projects across Central and Eastern Europe.
CATL seals 2GWh European sodium-ion energy storage order
On July 21, CATL announced that it has recently signed a cooperation agreement on the TENER Sodium energy storage system with Eastern European renewable energy developer Solarpro, covering a scale of 2GWh. The two parties plan to deploy Central and Eastern Europe’s first large-scale sodium-ion energy storage project within this year.
The cooperation will adopt CATL’s TENER Sodium energy storage system. CATL and Solarpro are long-term strategic partners. Their first collaboration dates back to 2024, when they deployed a 150MWh EnerC+ liquid-cooled energy storage system in Bulgaria. In May this year, the 602MWh TENER lithium energy storage system jointly built by both parties was successfully connected to Bulgaria’s power grid.
Yupont Electric Power signs Romanian energy storage project order
On July 21, according to Green Voltis, the company has formally concluded a cooperation agreement with Yupont Electric Power Group for a 49.5MW/100MWh standalone energy storage project in Romania.
Within this cooperation, Yupont Electric Power is responsible for the overall system integration and hardware delivery of the Romanian energy storage station. Green Voltis will exclusively provide the Aether AI asset optimization platform and Chronos millisecond-level EMS control system. Supported by AI multi-market trading algorithms, the power station can participate in day-ahead, intraday and ancillary service power markets to boost the full-lifecycle revenue of the project, while complying with local Romanian grid connection standards.
