In July 2026, the domestic bidding volume for photovoltaic (PV) modules reached 2.7 GW, representing a significant month-on-month decline. The awarded volume (including shortlisted candidates) stood at 20.42 GW, with TCL Zhonghuan, JA Solar, and Trina Solar leading the finalized bid market. The average bidding price for N-type modules was RMB 0.743/W, indicating a slight overall downward trend in prices.
PV Module Bidding Volume Hits 2.7 GW in July
According to EnergyTrend, the domestic bidding scale for PV modules reached 2.7 GW in July 2026. Lacking the support of large-scale centralized procurement or framework procurement projects this month, the bidding scale experienced a substantial drop.
The bidding scale explicitly designated for N-type modules reached 1.06 GW in July, of which 0.26 GW was explicitly specified for TOPCon modules, accounting for 24.43%.
Finalized PV Module Bids Reach 18.07 GW in July
According to EnergyTrend, the volume of PV modules with announced bidding results and candidates in July 2026 was 20.42 GW. This includes 18.07 GW of finalized bids and 2.35 GW represented by first-choice bidding candidates. Notably, China Datang's framework procurement for 11 GW of PV modules contributed 60.86% of the month's finalized bid volume.
Looking at the finalized bid volumes of individual enterprises, TCL Zhonghuan, JA Solar, and Trina Solar each secured over 1 GW, leading the finalized bid market in July. Among them, TCL Zhonghuan won Section 1 of Package 1 in CGN New Energy's 2026 PV module equipment framework centralized procurement, as well as multiple sections from GD Power Development Co., Ltd. (GDPD) and Guangdong Energy Group. It ranked first with a finalized bid volume of 1.97 GW, followed by JA Solar and Trina Solar with 1.79 GW and 1.35 GW, respectively.
N-Type Module Bidding Prices See a Slight Decline
In July 2026, the bidding price range for explicitly designated N-type modules was RMB 0.654–0.812/W, with an average price of RMB 0.743/W, representing a slight decline compared to the RMB 0.764/W seen in the previous month.
The lowest bid was submitted by DMEGC in Section 2 of Guangdong Energy Group's second batch of centralized procurement projects for PV modules in 2026. The highest bid was submitted by Aiko Solar in Section 3 of China Datang Corporation's framework procurement for PV modules covering 2026–2027.
Breaking down the bids by specific technological routes:
TOPCon Modules: The bidding price range was RMB 0.695–0.800/W, with an average price of RMB 0.741/W. The lowest bid was submitted by Tongwei Solar in the PV module equipment procurement for Dadu River Company's Ya'an Hanyuan Qingxi PV Power Generation Project. The highest bid came from Section 1 of China Datang's 11 GW PV module framework procurement, submitted by JinkoSolar.
HJT Modules: The bidding price range was RMB 0.741–0.772/W, with an average price of RMB 0.761/W. Both the lowest and highest bids originated from Section 2 of China Datang's 11 GW PV module framework procurement, submitted by Risen Energy and Canadian Solar, respectively.
BC Modules: The bidding price range was RMB 0.770–0.812/W, with an average price of RMB 0.791/W. The lowest price came from the PV module procurement for the Sanmen Hengdu 53.26 MWp Mountain PV Project, submitted by Aiko Solar and Huayao Photovoltaic.
