EnergyTrend has learned that recently, five companies—Tianqi Hongyuan, SAJ, Jinko ESS, Sungrow, and Huawei Digital Power—have successively disclosed their global energy storage order signings and cooperations.
Tianqi Hongyuan Signs 1GWh Energy Storage Cooperation in the UK
On August 21, Tianqi Hongyuan announced the recent signing of a UK energy storage product supply cooperation project with a total capacity of 1GWh.
According to the agreement, the cooperation scale is 1GWh, of which the first batch of 250MWh orders will be delivered within one year, and the subsequent 750MWh orders will be steadily implemented. Relying on their respective advantages in technology, production capacity, and local resources, both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation focusing on scenarios such as UK community energy retrofitting and green infrastructure upgrades.
Earlier, on August 16, UK clients visited Tianjin Qihong Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. for an on-site inspection, successively touring the product showroom, standardized production workshop, complete energy storage production lines, and the product testing center. Tianqi Hongyuan's self-developed residential immersion cooling energy storage system won high recognition from the UK clients.
SAJ Signs Australian Energy Storage Distributor
On August 21, SAJ announced a major in-depth strategic cooperation with Australia's top distributor, Supply Partners. Supply Partners has officially become the authorized distributor for SAJ's energy storage solutions in the Australian market.
Supported by this strategic cooperation, SAJ's brand new EK70 all-in-one energy storage system will soon be officially launched in Australia. In addition to the EK70 residential energy storage system, SAJ's B2S split-type energy storage system and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage products will also simultaneously cover the Australian market through Supply Partners.
Jinko ESS Deploys 23MWh C&I Energy Storage Project
On August 20, Jinko ESS announced that it had recently completed the deployment of 90 SunGiga 261kWh commercial and industrial energy storage systems in Binzhou, Shandong.
It is reported that the total scale of the project reached 23.49MWh. The SunGiga 261kWh features a highly integrated all-in-one design, supporting up to 12 systems in parallel. It works in coordination with the station-level EMS to achieve unified management and flexible scheduling of multiple energy storage devices.
Through the coordinated operation of the energy storage system with on-site photovoltaics, electricity loads, and EV charging facilities, the project builds an integrated "Source-Grid-Load-Storage" solution, exploring a new path for C&I energy storage.
Sungrow Secures Philippine Energy Storage Order
On August 15, Shell Energy released news announcing significant progress on its Hermosa Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Bataan province, Philippines, having signed an energy storage system supply and EPC agreement with Sungrow Philippines and Power Dimension for a scale of 30MW/60MWh.
It is reported that the project will adopt Sungrow's PowerTitan 3.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system, providing a 2-hour storage capacity. Sungrow Philippines will provide ongoing maintenance and operational support under a long-term service agreement; while Power Dimension is primarily responsible for the project's civil engineering design, electrical engineering, equipment procurement, and other EPC scopes.
Huawei Digital Power Secures Maldives Energy Storage Order
On August 13, Solmacher Solar Energy officially announced that it has signed a supply agreement with Huawei Digital Power. Under the agreement, Huawei will supply a battery energy storage system as well as utility-scale and C&I inverters for a smart microgrid project at the Royal Rosewood Resort Island in the Maldives, with a scale of 40MWh.
It is reported that Huawei Digital Power will provide a complete set of energy storage and inverter solutions for the project. The project is equipped with a 16MW solar power plant, a 40MWh energy storage system, and diesel generators. Once completed, it will become the largest project of its kind in the Maldives.
