EnergyTrend learned that on September 7, JDEnergy announced its renewed collaboration with Tongwei Group on an energy storage project. This marks the third cooperation between JDEnergy and Tongwei, with the cumulative scale of jointly executed energy storage projects reaching 25 MW/50 MWh.
Tongwei Nantong Base is a 10 GW PV module manufacturing facility with an annual power consumption of approximately 100 million kWh. To address practical needs including electricity cost control, power supply reliability and green power consumption at the Nantong site, JDEnergy built a 10 MW/20 MWh energy storage project for the base.
Adopting JDEnergy’s distributed modular energy storage system solution, the project deploys a total of 48 units of eBlock 418 energy storage cabinets. It was officially put into operation in October 2025, and its system operating efficiency has steadily stayed above 86%.
Previously, JDEnergy had delivered two energy storage projects for Tongwei’s Yancheng Base (10 MW/20 MWh) and Hefei Base (5 MW/10 MWh). After commissioning, their system efficiency also maintained an operating level of around 86%.
