EnergyTrend learned that Trina Solar and Astronergy have recently fulfilled module supply orders, delivering highefficiency modules for largescale PV projects in Gansu and Xizang. Covering application scenarios including PVbased desertification control and PVanimal husbandry complementary systems, the combined order volume totals 1.157 GW.
On September 7, Trina Solar disclosed that the 3 GW PVdesertcontrol demonstration project at Jiuduntan in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province is under construction. Trina Solar supplies 1 GWp of Vertex Ntype 700W+ modules for the project, supporting its integrated construction of PV desertification control and energy storage.
Located on the edge of the Tengger Desert in the eastern Hexi Corridor, the demonstration park adopts Vertex Ntype 700W+ modules built upon the 210mm cell platform and iTOPCon Ultra cell technology, with power output exceeding 700 W.
Trina Solar’s newgeneration Vertex 3 modules are now in mass production, reaching a maximum power of 760 W.
On September 7, Astronergy announced that the Datang 300 MW Yiqing PVanimal husbandry complementary project in Baxoi County, Xizang, for which it serves as a core module supplier, has achieved fullcapacity gridconnection.
Boasting a total installed capacity of 300 MW, the project received 157 MW of highefficiency ASTRO N8 series PV modules from Astronergy, accounting for more than half of total module supplies. Module delivery officially commenced in October 2025.
As a key project of the Eastern Xizang Clean Energy Base, this groundmount utilityscale project uses Astronergy’s ASTRO N8 series modules, which are purposebuilt for large centralized power stations. Adopting Astronergy’s inhouse developed TOPCon cell technology together with SMBB and gapfilling lamination processes, all 157 MW modules were fully delivered within a 60day timeframe.
