Recently, several energy storage companies have disclosed progress on project orders, deliveries, and deployments across domestic and international markets. Among them, Trina Storage signed a supply agreement for approximately 1 GWh of energy storage systems in Japan; WeLion New Energy supplied around 40 MWh of hybrid solid-liquid battery cells to an energy storage project in Xinjiang; Skyworth Energy Storage deployed a 2.09 MWh commercial and industrial (C&I) storage project in Vietnam; and Desay Battery configured a 16 MWh energy storage system for a supercharging station in Hubei.
Trina Storage Secures 1 GWh Energy Storage Order in Japan
On September 14, Trina Storage signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AMP-lify, a Japanese clean energy platform, planning to supply approximately 1 GWh of energy storage systems for energy storage projects being advanced by AMP-lify in Japan.
Under the agreement, Trina Storage will supply its Elementa 3 series energy storage systems to AMP-lify’s projects, while providing support including system configuration, technical consulting, delivery coordination, and after-sales service.
In addition, Trina Storage is offering its Elementa 3 Flex product, which features a single-unit capacity of 1.56 MWh and a footprint of approximately 5 square meters, designed to address constraints in land, transportation, and surrounding environments typical of energy storage projects in Japan.
WeLion New Energy Delivers 40 MWh of Semi-Solid-State Battery Cells
Recently, WeLion New Energy's semi-solid-state battery cells were deployed in the Xinjiang Ganquanbao 400 MW / 1,600 MWh Hybrid Electrochemical Shared Energy Storage Project, with the relevant storage units having completed construction and grid connection.
Located in the Urumqi Ganquanbao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Xinjiang, the project was developed by Urumqi Hexin Energy Storage Co., Ltd., with an overall capacity of 400 MW / 1,600 MWh.
Among this capacity, WeLion New Energy—through its subsidiary WeLion Haibo (Zibo) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.—collaborated with supply chain partners to supply 314Ah hybrid solid-liquid lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells for the project, accounting for approximately 40 MWh based on project procurement and acceptance details.
Skyworth Energy Storage Deploys 2.09 MWh C&I Storage Project in Vietnam
Recently, Skyworth Energy Storage commissioned a 2.09 MWh commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, marking the company’s first C&I energy storage project deployed in the country.
With a total capacity of 2.09 MWh, the project is designed for application in tropical high-temperature and high-humidity environments. During implementation, Skyworth Energy Storage was responsible for solution design, equipment delivery, on-site construction, technical guidance, and grid-connection commissioning, while providing technical support regarding charge-discharge strategies, equipment wiring, on-site training, and system debugging. The project has now completed grid connection and is fully operational.
It is reported that Skyworth Energy Storage completed its brand authorization in the Vietnamese market around the same time, further advancing its local distribution network. This deployment represents the company’s first practical application case since entering the Vietnamese C&I energy storage market.
Desay Battery Secures 16 MWh Energy Storage System Order
Recently, Desay Battery configured a 16 MWh energy storage system for the Hubei Huande New Energy supercharging station project, deploying it in an integrated storage-and-charging scenario.
According to reports, the project utilizes Desay Battery’s self-developed 261 kWh energy storage cabinets as basic building blocks to configure the total 16 MWh system, enabling coordinated control between the storage system, charging hosts, and station power distribution. The system charges and discharges by leveraging peak-valley electricity price differentials while integrating transformer load control to reduce electricity demand during peak hours at the charging station.
