GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (“GCL-Poly” or the “Company”, stock code: 3800.HK, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) announced that the Project of “R&D and Commercialization of Polysilicon Byproduct GRecycling Technology” of its subsidiary Jiangsu Zhongneng Polysilicon Technology Development Co., Ltd. (“Jiangsu Zhongneng”) recently obtained financial support of RMB5 million from the National Electronic Information Industry Fund.
The winning of such support shows the recognition from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for Jiangsu Zhongneng’s adherence to independent technological innovation. Upon the successful implementation, the Project is expected to elevate Jiangsu Zhongneng’s key technical and operating metrics (e.g. production capacity, conversion rate, energy consumption, material consumption, etc.) to a world-leading level based on the current hydrochlorination techniques. This will further optimize the Company’s closed recycling system and reduce polysilicon production cost, and lead to the overall progress in China's polysilicon industry.
