AssurePower Signs Australian Energy Storage Strategic Cooperation Deal
On October 29, AssurePower announced that it had officially inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Bitwatt during the All-Energy Australia exhibition.
Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out all-round cooperation on energy storage business in Australia. They will collaborate in project development, end-to-end EPC delivery, battery technology and supply chain, to deliver comprehensive solutions for grid-scale and commercial & industrial battery energy storage system projects across Australia.
Envision Wins Bid for Energy Storage Project with Its 790Ah Dedicated Energy Storage Cells
On October 29, Envision Energy Storage announced its recent winning of the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) energy storage system tender for the 100MW/400MWh standalone energy storage project in Renqiu, Hebei Province.
The project is among China’s first batch of standalone energy storage demonstration schemes exploring the combined application of LFP and sodium-ion battery technologies. It is scheduled for completion and commissioning by the end of 2026. Adopting a hybrid configuration of 90% LFP batteries and 10% sodium-ion batteries, the facility will provide flexible services for the power grid including peak shaving, frequency regulation and backup power.
The LFP segment of the project features large-capacity, long-lifespan energy storage units equipped with Envision AESC’s 790Ah prismatic wound dedicated energy storage cells, with a single-cell energy of over 2.5 kWh.
Chint Power’s Energy Storage Project Goes Live in Japan
On October 28, Chint Power announced that an energy storage project in Japan deploying its outdoor energy storage cabinets has been officially put into operation.
Located in Kitsuki City, Oita Prefecture, the project has a capacity of 2MW/8MWh and adopts Chint Power’s 200kW/418kWh outdoor energy storage cabinets. Thanks to the lightweight cabinet design for transportation, the weight of each unit is kept below 4 tonnes to better suit local road transport requirements.
Haier New Energy Signs Energy Storage Cooperation Deal for Vietnam Market
On October 28, Haier New Energy held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony and showroom opening event in Vietnam together with its local partner Robin Thinh Vuong (RTV).
The two parties formally signed an agreement to conduct in-depth cooperation in the promotion, sales and localized after-sales service of energy storage products and green energy solutions in Vietnam. The products displayed in the showroom are household energy storage solutions tailor-made by Haier New Energy for the Vietnamese market, including multiple core products such as all-scenario micro-storage integrated machines covering a wide range of application scenarios.
CATL Signs Three Energy Storage Memoranda of Understanding
Between October 28 and 29 at All-Energy Australia 2026, CATL signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) separately with Hitachi Energy, EPEC Group and the University of New South Wales:
Partnering with Hitachi Energy to drive innovation in energy storage system integration and solutions;
Working with EPEC Group to integrate energy storage technologies, system verification and local engineering delivery capabilities;
Collaborating with the University of New South Wales to strengthen industry-university-research integration and explore cooperation in renewable energy talent cultivation and technological innovation.
During the exhibition, CATL globally launched its new-generation 9MWh ultra-high-capacity energy storage system TENER+, and showcased its TENER Sodium sodium-ion battery energy storage system in Australia for the first time.
TENER+ is CATL’s new-generation ultra-high-capacity liquid-cooled energy storage system developed for grid-scale long-duration energy storage, with a single-container capacity of around 9MWh and a design lifespan of 25 years.
The concurrently exhibited TENER Sodium system is CATL’s first sodium-ion liquid-cooled energy storage system that has completed full-station verification, boasting an energy storage capacity of more than 30MWh per system.
Narada Power’s Delivered Energy Storage Project Successfully Connected to Grid
On October 30, Narada Power announced that the on-site section of the Yumen 200MW/800MWh standalone shared energy storage power station it participated in constructing has been fully completed recently. Its Phase I 100MW/400MWh energy storage project has been successfully grid-connected.
As a key new energy project in Gansu Province, the station is equipped with 160 sets of 5MWh battery containers and 40 sets of 5MW PCS boost containers. Its core units adopt large-capacity long-lifespan cells independently developed and produced by Narada Power, alongside state-of-the-art energy storage system integration technologies.
Hoenergy Signs Strategic Deal with Octopus Energy from the UK
On October 30, Hoenergy announced it had recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Octopus Energy, a European clean energy firm based in the UK. The two sides will carry out deep cooperation covering energy storage equipment, digital energy technologies and virtual power plants.
The partnership will deliver two-way market-based implementation to jointly tap opportunities in global markets. On one hand, leveraging Octopus Energy’s global customer network, the two parties will accelerate overseas promotion and on-site deployment of Hoenergy’s hardware products and supporting optimization services.
On the other hand, they will explore deep integration of technical platforms to align Hoenergy’s self-developed EMS (Energy Management System) with Octopus Energy’s forecasting algorithms and power trading strategies.
