The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has announced the result of votes for the anti-dumping and countervailing (AD/CVD) duties on China- and Taiwan-imported PV products. The final decision remains the same with U.S. Depart of Commerce’s final ruling in last December, imposing AD and CVD duties above 70% on Chinese makers and AD duties ranging from 11.45% to 27.55% on Taiwanese manufacturers. Nonetheless, the review of 2012’s first phase of AD/CVD duties, which has been reduced down to around 17.5%, creates a new opportunity for Chinese manufacturers but brings harsher situation to Taiwanese products.
