As learned from EnergyTrend，EES Europe 2026, the international battery and energy storage exhibition, grandly took place in Munich, Germany from June 23 to 25.
Over 30 Chinese energy storage enterprises made a collective appearance at the show, including Sungrow, BYD Energy Storage, CATL, Huawei Digital Power, LONGi, Trina Storage, REPT BATTERO, Envision, Pylontech, Hithium, CORNEX, and Hoymiles. They showcased layouts around core technologies such as grid-forming energy storage, long-duration energy storage, AIDC, and sodium-ion batteries.

Huawei Launches All-New Generation Grid-Forming Energy Storage Platform
During Intersolar Europe 2026, Huawei hosted its 2026 Smart PV Strategy & New Product Launch Event. Centering on grid-forming capability, AI, and integrated PV-storage solutions, the company officially upgraded its energy storage solution brand from LUNA to LUTERRA and unveiled a brand-new smart string-type grid-forming energy storage platform.
Boasting five industry-first innovations including an original 1000Vac smart string architecture, through busbar design, and plant-level grid-forming technology, the platform supports a 1000V AC voltage system and an optimized subarray capacity of 12.5 MW / 50 MWh. It delivers improved investment returns, plant-level grid-forming performance, and comprehensive chip-to-grid (C2G) safety protection.
For residential scenarios, Huawei previewed its brand-new all-in-one residential PV-storage unit, the LUTERRA S2. Equipped with a self-developed full SiC architecture, fully passive natural cooling, and all-wireless communication, the product sets a new industry benchmark for the next generation.
BYD Energy Storage Unveils Residential Energy Ecosystem
BYD Energy Storage brought its full-scenario product portfolio to The Smarter E Europe 2026 and launched the brand-new BYD Residential Energy Ecosystem, alongside a new residential storage product, the Battery-Box Mega.
Launched on-site at the exhibition, the Battery-Box Mega is tailored for small factories, farms, retail stores, hotels and similar premises. It combines commercial & industrial grade performance with the ease of installation typical of residential storage systems.
Beyond its full lineup of residential storage solutions, BYD Energy Storage also displayed its flagship utility-scale storage product BYD Haohan, the new-generation GC Flux PCS, and updated GC Master EMS. Its gigawatt-level grid-forming energy storage solutions support the development of new power systems.
Envision Rolls Out 4.X MWh Long-Duration Energy Storage System
Envision officially released its new-generation 4.X MWh long-duration energy storage system at the exhibition, capable of boosting project internal rate of return (IRR) by up to 3%. Leveraging self-developed battery cells and silicon carbide power electronics, Envision lifted the system’s overload capacity to 250%.
The system supports discharge durations ranging from 8 to 16 hours with a maximum cycle efficiency of 91% and a designed service life of 25 years. Its modular design cuts land occupation by more than 30% compared with conventional 5–7 MWh systems, while the single unit weight is controlled under 30 tons to greatly simplify transportation and installation.
In addition, Envision showcased its AI power system, which enables full-chain coordinated dispatching covering power generation, grid networks, energy storage and computing power loads.
Hithium Debuts Premium Residential Storage Brand ARKVOLT in Europe
On June 23, Hithium officially launched ARKVOLT, its premium residential energy storage brand targeting mature global markets, with its European premiere at the exhibition.
Built on a unified technology platform, ARKVOLT offers three product series:
ARKVOLT R30: An integrated high-capacity unit featuring Hithium’s proprietary 587Ah large-format cells, marking the first application of the company’s large-capacity cell technology in consumer household storage.
ARKVOLT F8S: A modular high-voltage system designed for homes equipped with PV systems, heat pumps, EV chargers and multi-energy loads.
ARKVOLT L16 / L16S: A standard 51.2V low-voltage platform featuring maximum inverter compatibility, streamlined installation and flexible configuration, ideal for mainstream residential and distributed energy projects.
Pylontech Unveils New-Generation Energy Storage Solutions
At EES Europe 2026, Pylontech released its updated suite of energy storage solutions for global markets. In the utility-scale storage segment, the firm introduced a turnkey integrated storage system, where core equipment including PyOcean containerized storage units, power conversion systems (PCS) and transformers are fully pre-integrated and pre-commissioned in the factory.
For commercial & industrial applications, Pylontech offers multiple integrated storage cabinets to accommodate 2-hour and 4-hour discharge duration requirements.
In residential storage, the company developed a dedicated Home Energy Management System (HEMS) that deeply integrates household storage with PV arrays, EV chargers and smart home appliances. Its all-in-one Force H3X storage solution leverages AI to monitor real-time energy consumption, implement dynamic tariff optimization, and participate in virtual power plant (VPP) operations.
Sunwoda Releases NoahX 3.0 Liquid-Cooled Energy Storage System
Sunwoda launched the NoahX 3.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system engineered for superior safety, high integration and flexible deployment across diverse energy storage scenarios. Supported by Sunwoda’s self-developed 588Ah large-format cell platform, the company delivers diversified storage solutions for global markets.
The multi-form product portfolio achieves optimized adaptation to various application scenarios. Its flagship high-capacity 6.26 MWh 20-foot standard modular container enables ultra-high energy integration with a 24.8% higher energy density and a 17% reduction in land footprint.
Hoymiles Launches HiBattery 4020 Dual Micro-Storage Products
Hoymiles held a launch event for its new HiBattery 4020 dual micro-storage products in Munich, Germany, officially unveiling the HiBattery 4020 X and HiBattery 4020 AC.
Hoymiles continues to expand its product lineup for Europe’s DIY and residential energy markets. The newly launched HiBattery 4020 X and HiBattery 4020 AC dual micro-storage products deliver safer, smarter and more user-friendly energy management for end users.
