Enphase Brings C250 Microinverter Systems to the Commercial Solar Market

published: 2015-02-12 14:56

Enphase Energy is now shipping its advanced Enphase® C250 Microinverter Systems to commercial solar customers. Announced in September 2014 as part of Enphase’s comprehensive solution for commercial solar installations, the C250 delivers on Enphase’s successful track record of leading the microinverter market with unique and innovative systems that provide clear economic benefits.

“We listened carefully to our customers’ input to design the C250 as a system optimized for medium and large-scale commercial applications,” said Stefan Zschiegner, vice president of product management at Enphase. “The C250 reduces the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for commercial projects, thus offering improved customer financial returns over the project’s lifetime.”

Enphase is already powering more than 10,000 commercial systems, from schools and corporate offices to major sports stadiums. The availability of C250 will accelerate the growth of Enphase in the North American commercial market and offer customers a comprehensive solution that provides low-cost solar energy and long-term reliability.

The C250 launch is accompanied by the recently announced expansion of Enphase Energy Services (EES), which provides system owners, operators and installers with scalable asset management and O&M services that can accelerate the growth of solar in the commercial market.

Specially designed and built for commercial projects, the C250 incorporates Enphase's world-class microinverter technology to support three-phase 480Vac installations for 60- and 72-cell PV modules. The C250 system delivers optimal performance and enables installers to use less wiring and fewer balance-of-system components, thus significantly reducing labor and overall construction costs.
