Policy Focus：

The National Energy Bureau and the price department of the National Development and Reform Commission held a symposium on electricity price policy of CSP demonstration project on February 18. The participants are like the energy research institute of National Development and Reform Commission, CAS, CGN, CPI, Datang and Shenzhen Jinfan. It triggered the industry attention. Some participants said the electricity price of CSP will come possibly in the first half of this year.

Relevant departments are still inconclusive on how to determine the electricity price of the demonstrate projects. For the difference of DNI, technical route and the financial institutions supporting policy of the project bases，the “one project one discussion” is likely to be taken as the pricing model. Some insiders said, "We can try electricity price policy in stages or according to the installed bases till the average price can be achieved."
