To address the market trend where solar systems adopted in green buildings are increasing, Dr. Mohan Narayanan, the Vice President of Technology at Hanwha SolarOne, is especially invited to speak on “Prospects of Solar Technological Development in Green Building Applications”. Previously, EnergyTrend had the privilege to conduct an interview with Dr. Narayanan and he mentioned efforts and achievements in the Chinese and global market and how companies can maximize vertical integration advantage by reacting fast to the changing market condition. China is by far the world’s largest PV production base. In the future, manufacturers will be faced with domestic demand increase and it is paramount to be prepared to compete for market share of end applications including integrated PV systems in green building. Learn more about what Dr. Narayanan said in the interview.
Arthur Huang, the Founder & Managing Director of Miniwiz, will speak on “Application of Built-In Energy Storage System in Green Buildings” and share his view on importance of integrated energy system in green buildings. Mr. Huang was involved in the design of a number of modern green architectural projects and received several awards for his innovative designs throughout his career as an architect. One of his many well-known works includes the Pavilion of New Fashion (also known as FF EcoARK) at Taipei International Flora Exposition which combines the concept of environmental protection and modern fashion and is made by thousands of recycled PET bottles. Learn more about Mr. Huang’s green designs.
Afternoon sessions will feature a number of well respected industry leaders starting with Huang Xiaodong, the Director of Solar PV & EMC Division at China Architecture Design & Research Group. Through his professional background in design and project management, his topic of The Market of BIPV and China's National Subsidy Policy will provide in-depth knowledge for those particularly interested in BIPV market development trend in China. In addition, buildings in general consume a lot of energy and some of energy waste can be minimized and energy optimization can be achieved throughout the life time of a building by employing modern green technology. Duff Lu, EV&Battery Analyst at EnergyTrend, will talk about the importance of energy system integration while Roger Chu, LED Research Manager at LEDinside, Sean Zhou, Regional Marketing Director, Asia at Philips Lumileds and Allen Lee, Director of Everlight Lighting Sales Department at Everlight Electronics will share their view on how LED technology can be utilized as energy saving devices in green buildings to minimize energy consumption and opportunities and challenges this industry has to offer.
