Wafer Works is pleased to announce the official launch of the Longtan plant and global headquarter located within the Longtan Science Park. Strategically positioned, Wafer Work selected Longtan Science Park for its sophisticated transportation logistics system and facilities.

In June, 2010, the company started construction of the plants with land and building area of 35,000m2 and 48,886m2 respectively. At present, monthly capacity of the Longtan plant is planned for 200K (8” Equivalent), and targeted for 300K (8” equivalent) after subsequent expansion.

This plant focuses on 6” and 8”, both N and P-Type, heavily doped semiconductor grade silicon wafers. Twenty four sets of crystal pullers are installed with separated layout for N-Type and P-Type Silicon ingot growth. Furthermore, additional space has been reserved for extra crystal puller installations and 12”wafer production switch or expansion is designed with full flexibility.

In addition, Wafer Works group owns 4 manufacturing sites with specific concentrations: Longtan (Taiwan) and Yangmei (Taiwan) are on 8” and 6” respectively; Songjiang (SH, China) is responsible for 4” and 5”. Qinpu (SH, China) is the sole and only silicon epitaxial service provider. The Longtan plant not only enforces Wafer Works 8” wafer market exposure, but also bears the responsibility of developing next-generation material technologies.
