Installations of solar system and solar energy storage systems for residential use in the U.S. are both growing. sonnen announced the launch of sonnenBattterie eco compact, a grid-tie solution that can optimize solar consumption, for the rapidly growing demand for storing solar energy.
sonnenBatterie eco compact is approximately 40% cheaper that sonnen’s other products. A fully-integrated 4kWh eco compact system retails for US$5,950 without installation for an inverter-included system. It is an all-in-one residential solar battery solution and represents the latest evolution of the company's smart energy management products. The sonnenBatterie eco compact is available for pre-order today and products will ship by the end of Q4 2016.

The smart energy device features self-learning software that offers multiple functions. It can increase household solar self-consumption, manage time-of-use and support grid services. These functions will increase the daily consumption of self-generated renewable energy as well as peak time-of-use at a lower cost so that residential customers will see a greater return on their solar investment.
The modular design allows sonnenBatterie eco compact to be scalable to 16kWh in a single compact unit. With enough storing capacity, homeowners can even reach 100% renewable for their daily power consumption.
