On November 24, the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for Rejing’s 5GW High-Efficiency Photovoltaic Module R&D and Innovative Manufacturing Base project was approved.

It is reported that the project involves a total investment of 2 billion yuan and is located in the Xinggang South Road Northwest area of Tieshangang East Port Industrial Park, Hepu County, Beihai City, Guangxi. The construction site covers an area of 98,286.05 square meters, and the planned construction period is five months.

As Rejing Energy (Beihai) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Skyworth Aiko (Beihai) Solar Technology Co., Ltd., the project will also be built based on Aiko’s BC technology.

The project primarily involves the construction of a 5GW photovoltaic module production line and related supporting facilities, with two production lines planned, each with an annual capacity of 2.5GW.

Once the project is operational, it will mainly engage in the production and processing of high-efficiency solar modules. The main manufacturing processes include scribing, welding, cutting, stacking, lamination, edge trimming, framing and junction box installation, laser welding, curing, surface cleaning, and packaging.

Public information indicates that Skyworth Aiko (Beihai) Solar Technology Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Aiko Group and Skyworth PV, with shareholdings of 25% and 75%, respectively.
